I sat at my computer. I knew that Pyro would be coming to find me soon. Man had I ticked him off. I had taken his lighter, and he couldn't do anything with out it. Pyro had not always been bad, he was good at one point, it was just that every one had forgotten that part. I heard him banging down the hall.

"Where did you put it Elxsis?!?!" he screamed. I tried to put a field around the room but he was faster that I thought.

"Where is it!" he looked into my eyes trying to scare me.

"What? I have no idea what you're talking about" I said looking away from him. He moved his hand back quickly hit my face with the back of his hand, and took out a match and lit it, but I was faster. I pushed him out of the room just as he was about to drop it on the floor. I put up the field, and made the match levitate in the air.

"Hurts to see it burning, not to be able to make it bigger, or control it? Well tough!" I said looking crazy, I knew because I felt crazy. Me and Pyro had been like this ever since we had moved into this school. I didn't care what Dr Xavier said. He was wrong; he said we just needed to let out our competitiveness. But I knew when I first saw him I knew I hated him. There was nothing I could do. But the look on his face was killing me, "no I can't be weak," I thought. He deserved this. He can't be my downfall. But his face was so beautiful. I cocked me head to look closer, at every detail of his face. His dirty blond hair now wet and clinging to his face, his bright gray eyes looking in fear, and his cue boyish face crumpled in discomfort. I didn't know how I had not seen this before. I moved closer still. I then walked over to my desk to remove his painted lighter from the top drawer. I took the force field down and tossed him the lighter. "Why a shark?" I asked calmly.

"What?" he was out of breath and totally confused. His eyes still bright as always, just not with trouble as they usually were.

"Why did you pick a shark? On your lighter." I sat gracefully in front of him, and started to look deep into his eyes and soul. I could see all the hate and hurt that Magneto had inflicted into him. I remembered the look on his face when he and Bobby, Rouge, and Logan had been attacked by police. The crazy, yet joyful look of fulfillment. The fear looked like an uncommon thing in Bobby's beautiful and perfect blue eyes. I tried to stop him, but it was too big an area, he was too fast. He moved his head to the side; it was his way of trying to see it differently.

"Uhh, I guess I thought it would be cool." I flicked it open slowly. I light it and watched his face. He just stared at the light. I looked past it and at him. He started to move his hand toward the lighter; I closed it and grabbed his hand.

"You know I love you right?"
