Disclaimer: I don't own the Ace Attorney series. I just borrow the characters and play dolls with them.

Authornote: Kink meme request. And I decided to de-anon. Because I'm so proud of this fic. The prompt? One of the PW guys (or girs, if you'd prefer) cries over a song, and is ashamed to tell their significant other about it. But the other person says it's okay to cry at songs; they cry at that one too. :)

And I just ran with it.

Daryan Crescend prided himself on his tough, manly image. Bawling his eyes out over a song just didn't fit that bill. He couldn't tell her. He couldn't tell Ema that he, the tough, manly Daryan Crescend cried at that song. At Against All Odds. But there he was in the privacy of his apartment listening to that song again, his gray-blue eyes welling up with tears again.

His rough voice started singing along, the tears running down his face. "I wish I could just make you turn around,

turn around and see me cry

There's so much I need to say to you,

so many reasons why

You're the only one who really knew me at all..."

Just as his ragged voice was about to reach the chorus, he heard a rapping at the door. He knew that knocking anywhere. Ema! Rushedly, he opened the door, turning away quickly. He just couldn't let her catch him crying! It'd be bad for his image; after all, he was pretty sure that he'd only let Ema see that tough, manly side of him.

"Daryan..You're crying, aren't you?" Ema's voice was hushed, almost quivering with tears.

For the quickest moment, his eyes darted to hers, so full of tears that he couldn't help but pull the lady detective closer. "N-nonsense, Emmy. Just got somethin' in my eye."

Ema looked up to him, a small smile on her face. "Daryan, it's okay."

His face gave an almost confused look as he turned it to her now. He let the tears fall down now. "Em-Emmy..."

"This one always gets to me too, Daryan." Ema whispered.

"Don't...don't tell no one, okay? 'Specially not Gavin." Daryan smirked through his tears.

Ema held close to Daryan. "It'll be our little secret."
