Summary: Mike's thoughts as he put the door back together for Sully.

I can't believe that I'm actually doing this. I'm digging through a pile of wood, trying to find the pieces of the white door with pink flowers. I'm doing this. I'm doing it all for Sully. I had never seen him so depressed in his entire life.

Who would have thought that one kid, just one kid could have that effect on him? She was a cute kid, I'll admit it. Okay, she was cute. I actually kind of miss her too. Okay, I really miss her. It's been a long time since we've seen her. Ever since the door was destroyed.

Splinter! Ouch.

Ever since Sully took over for the company, he has been trying to hide his sadness. He changed the company policy from scaring to laughing. "Make the kids laugh," he encouraged us.

What would I give to see my own friend laugh again! I miss seeing his smile and his laugh. I want my buddy back. I had to complete the door. For his sake. For my sake. And of course for the kid's sake. She probably misses Sully. Heck, if I was the kid, I'd miss him too.

"I can't find the last piece," I said to myself.

Then I remembered, Sully had the last piece of the door. It was on his clipboard. I would see him occasionally flip back his clipboard and I knew what he was looking at. It was time.
