Chapter One
Meet Lupin the Gentlemen Thief
My good friend Sherlock Holmes was always a man whose persistence is always unending has caused some of my adventures with him to be much fun. I would like to take an example from one of the cases that he and I went on while I still boarded with my good friend at 221 Baker Street. It was a beautiful December day in one of the coldest winters I'd ever experienced. My friend Holmes was sitting in his chair reading the daily paper under his usual crime section, when all of a sudden Inspector Lestrade barged in with rage. "Damn, Damn, Damn" cried Lestrade, "why Lestrade what a surprise to see you, what brings you too Baker street?" Holmes you no doubt have heard about the recent robberies of the Victoria and Albert Museum. Why yes I have Lestrade and I have become curious your men from Scotland Yard have not already caught this thief. Holmes I don't have to tell you that this case is bigger than Scotland Yard and you. Your skills might not even be able to match this thief. Inspector who is this thief anyways? You know who he is, the gentleman master thief Arsene Lupin. "Arsene who?" questioned Watson. Ah yes Watson you and I had not met when I first encountered the great Arsene Lupin. Arsene Lupin is the world's greatest thief him and I matched wits against each other once and it ended in a stale mate between us. I would certainly like to meet him again. That's exactly why I have come today Holmes Scotland Yard needs your help with Lupin. Every time we think we've got him he dodges and gets away with everything. He has recently stolen a very important. "This seems very interesting, I have been hoping for such an occasion to match my wits against the great Arsene Lupin once again. I match him to my greatest equals such as the demented Professor Moriarty, and the beautiful and clever Irene Adler" Said Holmes. "Ok Lestrade I'll take the case but first" Holmes stood up and walked over to Lestrade and ripped the moustache right from his face. Holmes are you mad!?! Not mad Watson but I would like to introduce you to Arsene Lupin the gentlemen thief. I rose in amazement are you serious Holmes. Quite, you see Lupin is a master thief and also a master of disguise, far better then my own disguises. Lupin then rose and bowed to us both, hello Holmes nice to see you again. Hello Lupin said Holmes as they shook each others hands as if they were friends. Thank you Holmes for applauding my work, but I don't think I'm equal with Moriarty. Of course you are I meant every word I said. Now wait one second Holmes this man has just impersonated an office of Scotland Yard and has just stole a work of Art. My dear Watson, Lupin has already sent me a telegram saying he would be arriving here and needing of our assistance. But he needed to come in here disguised as Lestrade so nobody would recognize him. I see oh then very nice to meet you. Holmes then lit a cigarette and asked us to sit down. Now Lupin please tell us about your problem.
