Author's notes: I know this story is kind of short but I thought it was funny. If you can think of anyway to help me improve this story that would be wonderful.
"Today is not Opposite Day!" declared Orihime to the Handicrafts' Club before school started.
"OK..." replied Uryu, sitting at his desk, "Well, then, I guess we should get back to work on these crafts."
Orihime sat down at her desk, crossed her arms, and stared at the chalk board. Uryu, not noticing the giggles that Orihime was trying to stifle, said, "Orihime, why aren't you working on your craft? We need to finish these for the cultural festival."
"I did what you told me to, Uryu. I started work on my doll," Orihime said, giggling.
"But you're just sitting at your desk, not doing anything at all," said Uryu, who seemed to be completely unaware of the holiday known as Opposite Day.
"Yes, I am. I'm working on my craft for the cultural festival, like you told me to," replied Orihime. Who continued to stare straight ahead. Uryu went back to work on his craft and left Orihime to stare at the front of the class. After "working on her doll for a few more minutes", Orihime decided that it would be a good idea to "do nothing" for awhile. To "not" help prepare for the cultural festival. Orihime looked up when she heard the classroom door open and saw Tatsuki enter the room.
"Oh. I see you're not working on your doll for the cultural festival," said Tatsuki.
"No, that's wrong, Tatsuki. I'm not working on anything," Orihime replied.
"That doll is looking horrible, Orihime! That is the ugliest doll I have ever seen! I hate it!"
"That's an awful thing to say, Tatsuki!" said Uryu, shocked that Tatsuki would say something like that to her best friend.
"Thank you, Uryu and Tatsuki! Those are horrible things to say!", exclaimed Orihime.
"If you think those are horrible things to say, then why are you so happy to hear them?", asked Uryu.
"Uryu, don't you understand that it's not Opposite Day?", asked Tatsuki, wondering whether Uryu knew about Opposite Day or not.
"Yes, it's not Opposite Day," replied Uryu. Uryu, Tatsuki, and Orihime looked up when they heard the door open again and Ichigo walked in. He looked around the room and said to everyone, "See you later." and sat down at one of the desks.
"Goodbye, Ichigo.", said Orihime and Tatsuki.
"I see that you know that it's not Opposite Day", said Tatsuki.
"Yeah, Yuzu didn't tell me about it.", said Ichigo.
"I think Uryu knows it's Opposite Day but he won't tell anyone. Maybe someone shouldn't explain it to him?", said Orihime.
"I know what Opposite Day is, Orihime. I was purposely not participating in the hopes that everyone would take the hint and end this stupid "holiday". It seemed easier than trying to that it wasn't Opposite Day because everyone would assume that I was trying to that it was. And besides, we're too old for such a childish holiday.", said Uryu.
"See, Tatsuki, I told you he would like Opposite Day!" Orihime said happily.
