Supervisory Special Agent David Rossi walked into the BAU like any other ordinary day. Or to him, it felt like a normal day. He was dressed in a suit, dress shirt, and jeans, his normal clothes. He rode the elevator up to the floor that his office was, his normal way he got to his office. He even ate the same normal breakfast, a bagel and some coffee. But the sight that he saw when the elevator doors opened was anything but normal.
He saw a slightly terrified Reid peeking out tentatively from the break room. His hand reached for his gun and at the same time his eyes followed Reid's gaze. He had to stifle a laugh and settle with a smirk as he stared with confused amusement at the object of Reid's paranoia. "Carolyn? What are you doing here?" Rossi remarked as he watched her coddle Emily and say things to her that Rossi had said about Emily. She turned around and Rossi cocked an eyebrow at her. "There you are, aren't you late?" She returned sarcastically. Rossi chuckled "I am never late; I arrive at the precise time I mean to. So why are you here, Carolyn?" "I wanted to embarrass the hell out of you, and now that I have, I should be going. Good bye David." And she walked into the elevator with a smirk on her face, leaving a dazed and confused David Rossi to wonder about what just happened. Hotch strode out of his office and asked "What was that?" "I just got a visit by my ex-wife at 9:00 in the morning, anything else?" "Nope." Rossi thought he saw a smile appear on Hotch's face as he walked back to his office. Looking out at his colleagues, Rossi spotted Derek laughing. "Bet you've never seen a woman do that, Morgan." He chuckled as he closed the door to his office.
