Padmé Naberrie-Amidala-Skywalker
Padmé Naberrie: The Daughter.
'His name was Palo."
Growing up on Naboo, her father and her mother a constant in her life, her sister was her best friend. Padmé knew she was destined for politics. She debated her classmates in the Legislative Youth Program, and found childish love in Palo, the artist. She debated, she argued all for her love of her family, her fellow Nabooians, and her planet itself.
Padmé Amidala: The Queen
"I will not condone a course of action that will lead us to war."
Becoming a queen at the age of 14 was impressive to most, if not to all. Her parents worried for her often, fearing their daughter not ready for the responsibilities of the millions of lives that lived on their fair and green planet of Naboo. The people loved her. They cherished her heart and her mind. They know, beyond any shadow of doubt, that she was meant to be their queen.
She fought, bled and was even in exile for a time, all for the sake of her beautiful home planet.
The people of Naboo debated in council, to change their traditions to keep their beloved Queen Amidala as their queen beyond her term. She, with a soft heart and loving words, rejected their offer. Knowing that that was not her path to continue on. She blessed the coming queen; Jamillia and stepped down from her throne.
Padmé Amidala: The Senator
"So, this is how liberty dies with thunderous applause."
Politics. She was raised amongst these kinds of things. Her parents were activists in the political realm. When Queen Jamillia asked Padmé to return to the front of the Nabooian political realm, she couldn't refuse. She knew her destiny, her destiny, was to be wound and twisted into and amongst the Senatorial Rotunda.
Padmé: The Warrior
"I call it 'aggressive negotiations.'"
A city held under siege, red dust flying in the air, a factory, a blaster and a lightsaber beside it, Anakin, Obi-wan, Qui-jon, Typho, Dormé, Cordé, Sabé. These were her allies. Those that help to free Theed from the Droid Federation, stopped assassinations attempt after attempt on her life across the galaxy, the attempted execution of her and her Jedi protectors. She fought and bled for her beliefs and she would do so again.
Padmé Skywalker: The Wife
"I truly, deeply love you."
Anakin was the man she fought long and hard against falling in love with. The silly little boy she met on the obscure planet in the Outer Rim. It was fate, destiny, the Force itself that bound the tall, blue-eyed Jedi to the beautiful brown-eyes Senator. Her only regret was having to hide; hide their forbidden love from the Galaxy. Padmé would often dream of screaming from the top of the tallest skyscraper on Coruscant of her love for her husband. To be able to walk with him under the glittering nights on Coruscant and beside the waters of the Lake country on Naboo.
Padmé Skywalker: The Mother
"There is still good in him."
Padmé final thoughts were of her family. Her son; Luke, her daughter; Leia and of her husband; Anakin. She knew her fate, yet she knew she had to tell those with her on Polis Massa; Obi-wan Kenobi, her husband's mentor, her friend; Bail Organa, her college and fellow Rebel Leader; Master Yoda the wisest of Jedi…there is still hope in the galaxy for her husband. Her Anakin.
Padmé died believing and hoping with all her soul that Anakin could still be saved.
Because she truly and deeply loved him.
*I will continue with the various women of the Star Wars universe. Leia will most likely be next.
