Okay, a special fic for Valentines Day. I've never done a Valentines fic before so please let me know what you think. Happy reading and I hope you all had a great Valentines Day. If, like me, you didn't get anything, just remember that there's someone out there for everyone. Why am I even writing this, no-one's probably gonna read it. Lol. Oh well.
Disclaimer: If I owned CSI, do you think I'd be writing this?

Sara Sidle hated rats.
Despised them.
Ask her what she would do to a rat if she ever saw one, you'd most likely be bombarded with ideas of torture that would make you sick to your stomach.
Along with that, there was also the usual promise.
It wouldn't be a pretty site.
It wasn't like she'd ever come across a rat. It was just the way people described them.
Mainly Warrick or Catherine.
Well, what wouldn't she expect if she were working a case in a sewer, of all places?
Grungy Sewers…
Sickening Stench…
…And yes, Rats.
Problem was, she never really knew why she hated them so much. Maybe it was their horrible grey fur…or maybe the fact that they carry the plague…Whatever it was, she hated them.
To make things worse, of course, it was the day she despised.
Yes.
Valentines Day.
Pity, really. This was just another thing to add on her 'hate' list. Maybe if she had someone to share it with, it wouldn't be as bad.
Everywhere she looked, there were pink or red cards, some half as big as the receiver.
Then there were the chocolates. Purple heart-shaped boxes filled with different flavoured candies. Everyone was too filled up with romance to offer her one, of course.
Lastly, the flowers. Sara absolutely loved flowers. Colour, texture, she loved it all. But, it seemed, that none of the bunches of lilies or tulips belonged to her.
She had to get away.
She stormed into the break-room, grateful that it was empty.
Well, almost empty…
Something caught Sara's eye. Deep red with long green stems.
Roses.
Glancing around quickly to make sure no-one was watching, Sara hurried over to the flowers lying on the table and sniffed them.
She could never get tired of the sweet smell of Roses.
As she continued to sniff, she was suddenly poked on the tip of her nose with something sharp. Sara pulled away and noticed a little white card stuck in-between the roses. Again she looked around. She didn't want to be found guilty for sniffing someone else's Valentines gift.
When she was sure she was alone, she pulled the card out and began to read.
To my dear Sara,
I know you like flowers, so these are for you. One day they will wilt, but my love for you never will.
Lots and lots and lots of love,
The ex-lab rat…
A beautiful smile spread over Sara's lips.
Hugging the flowers close, she stood and ran out of the break room.
She had to find Mr ex-lab rat.
Greg Sanders.
Rats?
Valentines Day?
Two things to cross off her hate list.
