That author is seriously good at writing these college AU stories as judged by "Life is Strange" You may find that the story is somewhat similar but I will try to change it up abit.

The cool autumn breeze blew the gold and orange leaves all over the place, the birds chirped happily as the dawn pierced the veil.

An old yellow 2 door 78 Pontiac firebird pulled up at the entrance of Valoran State University. Campus Police asked for the driver's ID and after about 10 seconds of waiting, the Pontiac pulled into campus. Parent's moans and student's whines filled the air as the front gates flooded with new students for the semester and other older seniors.

Ashe, a young girl from Freljord with ice white hair and frost blue eyes, parked her old Mustang in front of her assigned dorm house. She opened the door and inhaled the scent of freshly cut grass. She grabbed her backpack and suitcase from her car trunk and looked at Valoran State University with a grin on her face.

Runeterra had lots of good Universities located around. Piltover Tech was known for its engineering and maths, Zaun University was known for its sciences and Noxus High was known for its sports. Valoran State was the best all rounded university and it was also ridiculously expensive to get in.

You could either get a scholarship to get in or pay your way in. Thanks to Ashe's strength and ability in Chemistry, she was able to get a scholarship to study Chemical Engineering at Valoran State. Ashe's mum was proud of her daughter and wished her good luck with her studies.

Ashe shook herself out of her daze and closed her trunk as a white convertible pulled in in front of her. Out hopped a golden blonde haired girl who dragged a huge suitcase behind her and was wearing earphones whilst simultaneously singing along to the song playing along.

She turned to look at Ashe and immediately pulled her earphones out and stuck her hand in front of Ashe.

"Hiya, Are you a first year?" She said as she smiled warmly at Ashe

"Yes, Yes I am" Ashe said as she returned the hand shake

"My name's Luxanna Crownguard but you can just call me Lux, I'm studying Computer Science here." Said Lux as she smiled

"My name's Ashe and I'm studying Chemical Engineering." Ashe said as the 2 began to walk amongst the hundreds of students who approached the front gate.

"I wonder who my roommate is?" Ashe thought to herself as she approached the notice board in front of her which had all the room numbers and occupants on them

Ranger House, Tower 3

4th Floor, Room D26

"Looks like we're in the same room together!" Lux squeaked as she clapped her hands in excitement.

Ashe grinned and was grateful that she had such a cheerful and bubbly roomate.

"Hi Garen" Lux suddenly spoke as a tall muscular man walked up to the pair. He wore a red T shirt with white letters that said Campus Guide on it. He had the same pair of ocean blue eyes that Lux had and he also looked similar to Lux so Ashe assumed that the 2 were sibblings.

"Hi Lux, do you know who you're rooming with yet?" Asked Garen as he patted his younger sister on the head.

Lux blushed a little before raising a hand and motioning for Ashe to move forward.

"Garen, this is Ashe, Ashe this is Garen" she said as Ashe shook Garen's hand

"It's Garen's 3rd year here at Valoran State and he is majoring in Virology" Lux said as she smiled at her older brother.

Garen smiled and

"She's rooming with me" Lux said cheerfully.

"What's your major young lady?" Garen asked

"I'm doing Chemical Engineering" Ashe responded politely

"I see….well research labs in Demacia are starting to get desperate for Chemical Engineers so in the future, come talk to me and maybe I can get my father to get you a job!" Garen chuckled as he patted Ashe on the back.

"Come on Ashe, let's go to our room" Lux said as she heaved her large suitcase with great difficulty up the stairs.

A tall pink haired women with voluptuous assets got up from the front desk and approached the 2 girls with a wide grin.

"Hiya kiddies, I'm Vi, nice to meet yah" she said as her tongue swished the cherry lollipop in her mouth and stuck her hand out.

Ashe noticed that the women had the words Vi tattooed beneath her right eye. She also looked very strong judging by her rippling muscles underneath the tight T shirt she was wearing.

"Mind if I help yah?" Vi said kindly.

"Yes please." Lux said and Ashe also nodded telling Vi that she probably needed help as well.

"Room number and floor number?" Vi asked

"4th floor, Room D26" Ashe replied.

Vi smirked and picked up each suitcase in 1 hand and ran up the staircase with Lux and Ashe trying to catch up.

Vi opened their dorm room and set the suitcases down on the floor.

"There ya go kiddies, I'm a 3rd year here and study sports science, feel free to ask me for help that involves physical strength, I'm all the way down the hallway." she said as she flexed her toned arms for Ashe and Lux to see.

The 2 girls thanked the older senior before they each sat on their sheetless mattress.

"Well, welcome to our home for 4 years!" Lux cheered as she began unpacking.

Ashe simply looked out the window and gazed at the beautiful sun in the distance.

There was a knock at the door which broke Ashe out of her trance.

"Who is it?" Lux asked

"Got a delivery for room D26." came the voice outside the door.

"Must be our other stuff!" Lux cheered as she opened the door to a man pushing a large cart of boxes stacked on top of each other.

"Is this the room with Ashe Avarosa and Luxanna Crownguard?" The man asked as he traced the sheet on his clipboard of deliveries.

"Yes it is!" Lux said as the man unloaded a total of 4 boxes off the cart and placed it on the floor. He then proceeded to push the large boxes into the room before saying goodbye and wishing the girls a lovely day.

Lux and Ashe each sat on their sheetless mattress unpacking their stuff. Ashe unpacked her books and clothes whereas Lux was setting up some sort of computer station at her desk.

"Impressive computer" Ashe said as she watched Lux set up her monitor and computer. Ashe presumed that due to the fact that Lux did computer science which required lots of programing and coding, she naturally needed a powerful computer.

Lux began to stick posters on her side of the wall whilst listening to the music coming from her computer.

Ashe laughed when she realized Lux was listening to Hannah Montana. She shook her head before placing a photo of her father and her who were out hunting.

Ashe was a lot younger back then and the picture showed her father and her sitting atop a wild boar that they had shot together that day.

Her father held a beautiful bow made out of ice and Ashe often wondered how the bow didn't melt. She continued to unpack more books, clothes and her computer before she realized something.

Ashe looked in her luggage and in the boxes before she smacked her head in realization.

She had left her phone in her car.

"I'll be back Lux, I just need to grab my phone from my car" Ashe said as she grabbed her car keys from a hook on the wall

"Don't be long." Lux said as Ashe closed the door and walked out to her car.

It was currently in the afternoon and the crowd of students at the beginning had left. Ashe walked round to the driver's side before she noticed a blue 67 fastback drive slowly into campus.

Ashe paid it no attention until she slipped and fell onto the concrete road below.

The fast back halted to a stop almost running her over and out of the door came a tall handsome boy with short chocolate brown hair and golden eyes.

The boy walked over and towered over Ashe before he finally spoke

"Watch where you're going next time girl!" he said as he walked back to his car

Had the situation been any different, Ashe would actually have gawked at the boy for a bit. He had a fit but lean build and those damn eyes of his were so dangerous yet so beautiful at the same time. Yet he seemed to be quite hostile and was a little bit of a jerk.

Ashe watched the fastback park and out came the boy with a backpack in 1 hand and a suitcase in the other

"Guess he's a first year as well" Ashe groaned as she unlocked her car door and grabbed her phone before closing the door and locking it.

"Hope that jerk isn't doing the same course as I am" Ashe thought to herself as she walked back to her dormitory.

"Wow, what a jerk" Lux said as she hung her clothes in her wardrobe.

"I know right, I just hope that he is doing another course or something" Ashe said. Though she already hated the boy, she could not get over how handsome he looked.

"Was he at least good looking" Lux said as she leaned in and smiled at Ashe making her feel slightly uneasy.

"Yeah, he was really good looking" Ashe admitted whilst blushing heavily

"Don't worry Ashe, he won't be the only one" Lux reassured her as she gave Ashe a gentle pat on the back

The 2 sat in silence for a while focusing on their own thing. Lux was reading an online book on her phone whereas Ashe was already making a study table until Lux finally stood up and looked out the window.

"Oh by the way." she said cheerfully.

"That yellow firebird….is that your's" she said as she pointed to the beaten up Pontiac looking old and sad in the driveway.

"Yes, yes it's mine….well, it was my father's originally. He bought it from a scrapyard and sort off "revived" it making it road worthy again." Ashe said as she recalled the day when she saw her father pushing a rust bucket into his garage and staying in there for weeks until it was finished.

"Wow, I always liked these traditional muscle cars" Lux said as she looked at the battered body work and scratches all over the paint work.

"It looks old and beaten though" Lux said as she looked at Ashe with an interested look on her face. It was like Lux was trying to talk Ashe into giving her the car.

"Well, it's done a barrel roll before" Ashe added when she vividly remembered that fateful day when the accident took place

"I had to bash the body work back into shape and before it was drivable again." Ashe said.

"Did you have an accident?" Lux asked, her tone changing suddenly.

Ashe's expression changed and Lux immediately felt guilty for asking.

"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have asked that" Lux exclaimed as she covered her mouth in shock

"No no it's fine, its just that, I often find myself wondering if what happened was my fault or not" Ashe said.

She took a deep breath before exhaling before she spoke.

"During my senior years of highschool, I often drove the yellowbird to and from school as I lived quite far away. One day, I was asked to go take the car in for a check at the garage but it completely slipped my mind. Few days later, my dad had to go to Demacia for a business trip and he decided to drive the yellowbird…..he never made it" Ashe said as memories of guilt and regret filled her mind.

"Although the cause of the crash was never determined, I still feel like had I went and checked the car, he may still have been alive today" Ashe said as she felt a tear roll down her cheek

"Ashe you mustn't blame yourself for mistakes that you didn't make" Lux said as she wrapped an arm around Ashe.

"What happened happened and you mustn't dwell on the past but should rather focus on the present." Lux said sounding like a philosopher

"Yea I guess…" Ashe said as she shook her head and sighed.

"I'm going into town to go do some shopping as I have some basic supplies I need to get, wanna come along?" Ashe asked as Lux's blue eyes lit up and a wide smile appeared on her face

"Sure!" Lux said as she grabbed her jacket and followed Ashe out to her car.

The drive to town was rather slow as Ashe literally drove under 45 miles per hour. Lux had already began to go impatient and often found herself asking Ashe to drive a little faster.

Ashe always feared that if she drove too fast, the poorly maintained car would break or she would have an accident so she drove as slowly as possible.

The yellow bird finally lumbered into town and Ashe parked outside a stationary shop. Lux hopped out to stretch her legs and immediately ran into the supermarket on the other side whilst telling Ashe that she would get some food.

Ashe smiled and giggled slightly as she watched her blonde friend run off like a child on Christmas day.

She noticed a large automotive shop and garage near the supermarket and Ashe finally had the guts and courage to go and get her car checked.

She pulled up to the garage and immediately noticed a familiar looking dark blue 67 fastback parked outside. Curiously, Ashe drove her car into the garage and waited for someone to come and assist her.

The garage was huge and surprisingly very clean and tidy. It was more like a professional racing team's garage rather than your local garage.

A young adult with short brown hair and golden eyes walked from the shadows and his eyes immediately lit up when he recognized the car and the driver.

"Oh shit." the man said as he leaned over and gave Ashe a poker face.

"How can I help you miss" he said as he stared into her icy blue eyes.

"I would like to get my car checked please" Ashe said politely as she blushed remembering how handsome he actually was.

"Are you the girl I almost ran over a while ago?" asked the boy .

Ashe nodded gently and her blue eyes wandered over to the name tag on the man's uniform

Talon

Ashe was about to open her mouth and speak when Talon finally spoke.

"Look I know we got off to a bad start and I'm sorry for yelling at you like that. My name is Talon and I work at this garage and the automotive shop as a part time job." he said as Ashe was surprised by how quickly the mood changed.

"I go to Valoran State University and I am studying Bio-Chemistry" he said as he extended his hand out for Ashe to shake.

"My name is Ashe and I study chemical engineering" Ashe said as she shook Talon's hand whilst smiling at him.

"Nice car by the way" Talon said as he eyed up Ashe's old firebird.

"It was given to me by my father and it's very old" Ashe said

Talon snickered and ran his fingers through his short hair which made Ashe blushed when she realized how handsome he looked at that moment.

"Well Ashe, I shall take a look at your car and I will get back to you in about 15 minutes" Talon said as he looked as his watched and walked over to the large hoist in the middle of the garage.

"Would you also be so kind and pop the hood for me? I need to have a look at the engine" Talon said as he smiled politely at Ashe.

Ashe pressed a mechanical lever on her dashboard and the hood popped up slightly.

"Feel free to wait in the automotive shop or have a walk for about 15 minutes and I shall give you the report." Talon said as he got in and drove the car forward so it was above the hoist.

Ashe waked out of the garage and entered the supermarket to check on Lux who was currently filling her cart with fruits and junk food.

"Hi Ashe!" The blonde smiled as she grabbed a bag of Razorkrunch from the shelf.

"Hey Lux" Ashe said as she watched the blonde grab a second bag of chips.

"You seem slightly happier, did you meet another cute looking boy?" Lux giggled as she stared at Ashe with her blue eyes.

"I met Talon, the guy who almost ran me over" Ashe said as Lux grinned at her whilst smiling.

"How romantic" she said sounding sarcastic. "Was he buying stuff in the shops?"

"No, he's a part time mechanic and employee in that automotive shop and garage" said Ashe as she pointed out the door at the building nearby.

Lux's mouth formed a little "O" shape and she said nothing.

"Well, pay up and I'll meet you near that stationary stop just outside, I need to buy some books and paper and then I need to go pick up my car for the garage." Ashe said as Lux pushed her cart to the checkout center

"Okie Ashe, see you later" she cheered as Ashe smiled and left the store
