« I slept with Christopher ». Those words couldn't or didn't want to get out of Luke's head since he has heard them the day before. Lay down on his bed, he couldn't understand how she could do this to him. How she could let other hands and more Christopher's hands to touch her and make love to her. Not a week ago, it's him who had this chance. It's him who could fell asleep with his arm around her, smelling her soft perfume. This morning, the place she was used to be in was empty. Only her pillow and her smell could remember him of her presence.
It was already 5:45 and Luke had to open the diner, Ceaser had gotten sick in the last week. Slowly, he got off of his bed, took a shower, got dressed and went down in the empty dinner.

The morning seemed to pass very fast, like the new about the rupture between Lorelai and Luke. Babette and Miss Patty were the first ones to talk with Luke about it. After, it was Gypsy's turn and even Taylor came to Luke to tell him that he wouldn't put ribbons all over the town like the last time.
It was now eleven and the dinner was almost empty. There were only two teenagers who were next to the window and Kirk who was at the counter bugging Luke, like usual.
- Do you remember Lorelai's engagement ring ?
- Yes Kirk, I remember.
-So, you probably remember that I wanted to give it to Lulu for her engagement ring ?
-Tell me what you want to know. NOW!!
- Hum…I thought that you could give it back to me since Lorelai and you aren't together anymore…
- GET OUT KIRK !!!!!
- But Luke, I just want the ring back. I'm not asking too much.
- I said get out Kirk. I won't say it another time.
- Luke, you don't need it anymore. Why do you want to keep a ring !!! Your fingers are way too big to wear it !!!!
Luke couldn't take it anymore. He wasn't going to let a stupid guy talk to him about the only thing hi didn't want to hear. So, he began to walk toward Kirk, took him by his shirt and brought him to the door under the afraid look of the two teenagers.

Once outside, Luke released Kirk who fell on the floor. It's at this moment that he saw her. She was as beautifull as the day before. And then, he saw HIM. The only man that he would like to kill just by hearing him breathe. Chris was walking next to Lorelai who wasn't pushing him away. No, strangely, she seemed scare of the man who was standing next to her...
