A/N: I started writing another fanfic which was about Lily and James before they came to Hogwarts, unfortunately I found it extremely difficult. So I am going to start from when they get their Hogwarts letters. I will also be doing a Founders Fanfic, alongside this one, because I get really bored just writing the same thing all the time. The Founders Fanfic is called Back to Basics. Please check it out. So… This will be a Lily and James Hogwarts Fanfic, they WILL survive, and I will go into how that changes Harry's life. I'm not sure how long I will have this go for but I am hoping to write a fairly long fanfic. Sorry to anybody who started reading To Begin Again, it was extremely hard to write.

This first chapter will just be letting you know a couple of things you need to know before you read the full fanfiction. These were ideas I had for To Begin Again, but they were to disconnected to write a proper fanfic.

Lily's parents' names are Marie and Gavin. Marie is an ex-drug addict and had a troubled childhood. Her older sister went missing, and Marie believes she is part of a gang. Gavin is the son of a youth worker, Daniel Evans, who introduced Marie and Gavin. Gavin's mother's name is Georgiana and she lives with the Evans'. Lily also has an older sister, Petunia (as we all know) who is four years older than her. Petunia's jealousy for Lily started from the moment she saw her.

About a year after Petunia's birth Marie and Daniel were in a car crash and Daniel (Lily's grandfather) died. A year after that Marie and Gavin had a son, who they named Daniel (Danny) after his grandfather. Lily was born a year later, and is adored by everybody except Petunia. Danny is extremely protective of Lily and would do anything for her. And importantly Lily has Georgiana's (her grandmother) eyes. This comes into the story later.

James' family is a lot bigger, and harder to explain. He was born to Mara and Adrian Potter. Adrian is an Auror, and extremely wealthy. They are both quite elderly. Adrian has a sister, Anna, whose husband died four years earlier. Her daughter, Melissa, went missing when she was ten (she is believed to be dead. To anybody who read To Begin Again, I am sorry, again I made a mistake in saying she was eighteen).

Mara is the granddaughter of Gellert Grindelwald (this is extremely important) and dated Tom Marvolo Riddle for a year, before breaking up with him for being a coldhearted man. She was in Ravenclaw at school, and was best friends with twins, Brayden and Benjamin. Who were in Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. This is the first show of house unity since the Founders. She was a straight O's student, but was a massive troublemaker (another extremely important point).

She has a brother, Jayden, who is married to Faye. These two have three children. Tania (who is thirty-five. This was another mistake made during To Begin Again. I had to up the age of her to fit with the plot.) Tania is the mother of Molly Prewett, who she had at seventeen, and the twins Gideon and Fabian Prewett (who she had at twenty-four and who are the same age as James). She is married to Mr Prewett, who died when James and the twins were six.

The other two children of Jayden and Faye are the twins Kara and Kayla, who like Fred and George a major mischiefs.

That's all the major information that you will need to know about the two families. More members may be added in, but that is all from the start of this story.

A/N: Again, I am sorry to any To Begin Again readers who wanted to read the end of the fanfic, unfortunately there wasn't really anything to write about other than what I have told you above. However, hopefully I can get this one started a bit better. It will be A LOT more interesting.
