Roy Mustang sighed. He was watching the graduation ceremony looking at the faces of all the new State Alchemists. There had been past canidates, along with Edward Elric, Alphonse's brother. Mustang's eye focused on a single girl. He looked at the papers he had, her name was Artemis Firelo, her State name, Amour. That means love, he thought as studied the picture and the facts on the sheet of paper.
Artemis was 16, still a minor. She had long silver hair and red fox ears. A chimera? His mind raced at it and he smiled. She was bubbly, he could tell. Looking at the paper, she lost all her family and came from the far north. He stopped and almost dropped the folders when he saw her eyes. They were peircing yet soft. One was an icy blue and the other a warm hazel. He watched her as the Superior Alchemist, not him, gave the speach on "How great it is to be here" and stuff.
They then began to call names to revieve there certificate and Name. He watched as everyone else walked, earning appluse from their peers. "Firelo, Artemis.' The monotone voice called and she began to walk to the stage. Instead of apluse, she got chears and whistles of praise. Roy smiled at this, she was a crowd pleaser. She recived her State name, Amour and smiled a bright smile and walked to where everyone else, including Edward Elric, to speak to Artemis.
"Amour," he said in a strong voice once he got in earshot of her. Artemis turned and saluted him. She had been talking with some girl and Edward. "I wish to speak freely, Artemis." He smiled and she put her hand down, smiling brightly. "It is an honour to meet you,' she said and looked to Ed. "He has been talking of his home, it sounds so pretty." She said and smiled bigger. Roy glared at Edward, and then they were enimes till the end.
