I like space, the clean organized packs and the symmetry of the space.

It feels as though a weight has lifted whenever I see the perfection that was the twin towers.

Now my heart aches to see the rumble.

It's clustered, messy, imperfect. Ruined.

I like life because through it no one can make you stay where you are.

You have a choice whether or not to leave.

When the Soviet Union disbanded I felt as though my heart was being pulled away as the feeling of emptiness and sadness filled me.

They felt happiness, I cried for days.

I like freedom, the ability to choose what to believe and say.

To sing and pray and read whenever I wanted to was fun.

But then the elders came and stuffed their ideals down our throats. They took our voices away, told us what to believe and say.

Now our Korea isn't ours anymore, won't a hero come our way?

I like my family; it was very large at one point, filled with children.

The children so innocent then began to learn more and eventually they left me.

It hurts to know that even as Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong grew they didn't want anything to do with me anymore.

The backstabbing hurt even more when they said sorry without emotion.

I like existing, a place where recognition is not a privilege but a natural born right

Years of war had made me strong, stronger than most but I was tired.

Finally my limit came and then I was faced with an ultimate decision of whether or not to stay myself or join Mein bruder, Germany.

I may have joined but I will never exist as I did before.

….

For all the things that life throws at us we fall apart and separate at one point, at our lowest, but in the time of clarity that follows you'll see that you've grown. Yes things may change, that's life and it may never be that way again but when you continue to live on. Life has a strange way of making things better for you whether you notice or not at the moment.

A/N: Hey guys! I'm trying something different since I've been exhausted lately and well I haven't been really inspired. I've been taking a free writing class lately and I think it's been helping me cope with some really hard times. I hope you guys like this, tell me what you think (I need comments to make me feel better because I'm insecure that way). Just Kidding! I do however like to read your comments so if you want you could leave one XD
