A/N: More Tane fluff but more 'cest leanings in this one. But then, most of my readers know me and they have no problem with it. But if you do, then I suggest you click that little back arrow and forget that this fic even exists. I own no one and am not getting money, this is all my twisted brain at work.

The cool wind whipped through his hair and he shivered as he watched his brother kneel at the silent sentry of the grey headstones. Only the wind and himself bore witness to the tears that left their marks on his face and the soft sobs that drifted away on the breeze. Grief was solitary in nature yet his baby brother's hand was clenched in his coat; a silent plea for companionship though no words of comfort or soothings hands to the nape of his neck were given.

"Brother..."

"Come, let us leave this place for now; we shall return soon of this I promise."

The shaggy mane of curls nodded and they left the forlorn and overgrown sites; only one restored back to it's former glory with a bouquet of blood red roses lying at the base. The ride back to their newly bougthen and shared home was quiet and each time he looked over, sparkling tears rolled down silently, letting him know that the pain his baby brother felt was deeper than that of just a son mourning the too soon lost mother. They parted ways at the main hall and an unaccustomed too sense of worry filled him as he heard the door of the library shut; the soft 'bang' as loud as a cannon shot in the dead air of the house.

When he didn't make an appearance at dinner some 5 hours later the worry and dread crept back in and he found himself standing outside of the large oaken doors. He knocked twice but no sound, not even so much as a growled warning came and quietly he pushed open the door. The large room was dark with one lone flickering candle sitting on the desk illuminating the curly hair of his brother. His head was down, his cheek plastered to the shiny surface of an old family album. A sad smile flitted across his face and he gently shook the large shoulder.

"Brother...Kane..."

The younger man snorted and sat up yawning; scrubbing at his eyes as the flickering and dancing fire from the candle making his face glow and highlighting the faint scars, making them more visible.

"Hmph?"

"Come Kane, the night has grown upon us and this is no place to sleep."

He held his hand out; the familiar spark of heat from the simple contact no longer a surprise to him. What happened next was a surprise however. He was pulled close and his brother's soft lips brushed over his, the spark bursting to full flame in his gut as he wrapped his arms tightly around the muscled waist and holding them together as he snaked his tongue into his brother's mouth. A whimper sounded between them, breaking the spell and pulling them apart with equal pants and mildly shocked expressions.

"Kane."

"Let's go to be Brother."

The quiet voice held an air of finality and another lingering kiss was shared between them as they split ways at his brother's door, hand gripping softly in silk like locks and teeth clacking gently while tongues dueled and caressed. Finally pulling away he cupped his brother's face and thumbed the smooth skin and bade him goodnight, turning and disappearing into his room and shutting the door before he could turn around and run back to his baby brother's arms. He laid in the dark, his body twitching and his mind swirling wildly in an attempt to understand the feeilngs towards his brother that were surely abnormal. The bed dipped and familiar arms worked their way around his body and finally his mind and body shurt down as he turned into the warmth of the man haunting his thoughts. He clung for dear life to his brother's frame as the smallest grave danced before his closed eyes; the many dried petals swirling around the man holding him tightly as they tumbled down together in blissful slumber.
