Elusive Bliss
Summary: Why is Thirteen so uncomfortable with treating Amber? The reason is their secret. Drabble, set during Wilson's Heart. Thirteen/Amber
Disclaimer: Not mine- literally nothing here. Characters belong to TPTB, and the idea behind Thirteen's behavior is my mom's (embarrassingly enough).
I don't know if this quite makes sense⦠lemme know.
The others didn't understand her reaction, and it was frustrating because she really needed someone to talk to.
The promise they had made barred her from telling her coworkers why she was struggling not to loose it like Wilson. "It's Amber," she said over and over- it was all she could say. She'd hoped somebody would guess. But no one could afford to waste time observing her.
At the end of the day, she's left alone with her memory: Amber, arching below her in ecstasy. Amber's lips against hers, her fingers inside her bringing her closer to that elusive bliss.
