A/N I came up with this at 2 in the morning when I was supposed to be falling asleep. I was tired and it was hard to turn the light long enough for me to find paper and scribble the bare bones of this down (all of three lines).
On to the Story!
Mary was pounding on Marshall's door. At two in the morning. Said cowboy/badass lawman was staring at his partner who stood waiting.
"Are you going to let me or what?" Marshall silently backed up to let Mary in.
"Uh, not to be rude, but why are you here?" Marshall asked as Mary made her way to the living room, where she plopped herself down on the couch. She frowned. "
"I don't really know. I just couldn't not come, I guess."
Marshall sat down next to her. "What do you mean?"
Mary looked away from him, slightly uncomfortable. "I had a nightmare. After that I realized that I didn't want to stay away. I'm tired of staying away." She finally looked toward Marshall. He smiled. He understood more than what she said. He stood and held out his hand.
"Come on, it's late. We need sleep." We, Mary thought, I like the sound of that. She followed him to bed.

Later they lay in bed. Her head was settled on his chest, their arms wrapped around each other. Mary jerked awake when she heard a cell phone vibrate. She looked at the clock and burrowed her face further into Marshall. 5:17 "Marshall, phone." He shifted a little. "No, it's just a dream.
Mary propped herself up. "And how do you figure that?"
"You're here. That could only happen in a dream."
Mary blushed, and smiled. "Whatever, Doofus." She burrowed herself back into Marshall, who smiled to the dark.

5 minutes later.
*BUZZZZZ*
Mary shot straight up. She grabbed it and opened it, saying, "WHAT?"
"Mary? What are you doing with Marshall's phone?"
"Uhhhhhhh," She looked toward Marshall who surveyed her with sleepy amusement. She wisely threw the phone at Marshall, who caught it and held it up to his ear. "Yeah, Stan, what's up?"
This'll be fun to explain at the office. Mary flopped back into bed.
The End!
This turned out to be more elaborate than I expected. I hope y'all enjoy it. Even though it's kinda disjointed.
School starts tomorrow, so please send me reviews to keep my morale up. Cause I'm taking 2 AP classes and I haven't finished either summer assignment. Question: If AP is supposed to be like College, why do they give out summer assignments?
