I'm journeying to the West with a human, a youkai and a half-blooded. Tonight we reach a snow mountain and get trapped in a violent snow storm. Some kids misunderstand us as intruders and attack us. We fall down a small rock top and all pass out.
A youkai called Yakumo saves us, giving us shelter and food. He is the guardian of many orphaned youkai children, taking care of them as if they're his own ones. It's like a happy family. But...
'These kids will grow up soon and will murder us villagers just like you youkais now! And we're not gonna let that happen!'
It's human's instinct to protect their friends and families. But, is this going a bit too far?
'Those children are just like you villagers' children. If you mistreat them, you have no right to be call yourself human'
Happy family turns into bloodbath.
We bury Yakumo together with the children. They will be always together.
Are humans really that cruel?
I do ask Sanzo one thing before we set the journey again.
'I would kill you' was all his reply.
And I understand.
