Chapter One

It was a normal day at 's academy, the sun was shining over the old, but beautiful was quite and peaceful , until there was a roar of laughter coming from one of the training centres. " Come on Rose, you can do it. Keep up the pace" Dimitri shouted as Rose began her next lap.

"Please can I stop now. My feet are gonna fall off" Rose whined as she tried to keep up the pace."No you can't. Running builds up your stamina, you must know that rose. It's important for you to remember that" Dimitri calmly replied as he crossec his arms.

"Whatever you say, I could proberly take you down anyway" Rose muttered under her breath.

"Rose!"

After the long and hard training season with Dimitri, Rose slowly walked back to her dorm room to wash away the layer of sweat that clung to her body uncomfortably. As she reached for her door, it suddenly opened and a girl-like hand dragged her in the room.

"Lissa, what the hell are you doing here. Your suppose to be asleep, its the middle of the day" Rose said angrily as she glared at her best friend, who was looking too cheerful for Rose's liking.

"Rose, I need to tell you something that you need to know right now!" Lissa sings as she threw herself onto Rose's unmade bed.

"Lissa!" Rose yelled, annoyed at her friend's antics.

"What?" Lissa asked in a sweet voice.

"Whatever you're going to say next better be important as I need to be ready in"- looking at her watch , her eyes widened- "Thirty minutes before my next class. I REALLY don't want to get into trouble for being late again" Rose whined, rolling her eyes as she pulled her shoes off one by one.

"Apprantly. I heard that there could be a secret royal vampire that no one knows about around here!" Lissa said with a sound of exitment in her voice as he bounced a little on the bed.

"Lissa, you believe everything in this damn place!" Rose said as she sats down next to her friend.

Liss shrugged "Yeah I know, but still it's so excting. I wonder who it is it? Could be you after all, you ever know!" lissa starts to clap her hands in excitment.

"Pfft! There's no way I could be the secret royal. Just because I'm half vampire - half human doesn't make a royal-"

" I know." Lissa interrupted "But it still make you wonder" Lissa smiled as she pushed Rose a little with her shouder.

Rose rolled her eyes again and stood up "Whatever .You can stay and sleep here while I'm in cless if you want?"

"Its' okay Rose. You can leave me to myself you know. And besides, I can always tell you something through the connection anyway. So be prepared to her my voice" Lissa said as she stood up too and gave her a hug.

"Look forward to it." he murmured.

"What?" Lissa questioned, pulling away.

"Nothing! "

"Whatever. I'll see you later. Try not to get yourself in trouble again please" Lissa said over her shoulder, as she walked out the door.

"How can I stay out when your around?" she questioned herself.

"Oh!" Lissa stopped and turned around "If you are royal, can I be your maid?" she joked.

"Goodbye Lissa!"

After the door closed, Rose could hear her friend laughing as she walked away.

Shaking her head, she suddenly stopped and frowned "Me? A royal?" she thought, before shaking her head again "Nah!"
