"Let's take a walk," she says, pulling him by the hand.
"Alright. Guys we'll be... that way," he calls to the team. They wave them on, knowing they'll be just fine. It is, after all, a crowded boardwalk.
"Parker, babe, where we going?"
She smiles up at him, that nasty little grin she reserves just for him. Well, and money. And fire.
"Somewhere. Be patient, Hardison," she chimes.
They've reached a bare point on the boardwalk when a set of metal stairs comes into view. They descend them in silence. A spell has fallen over them; one that consists of the illustrious moon and the soft sound of the nighttime waves. They couldn't break free if they tried.
Parker sits on the bottom steps and removes shoes, prompting him to copy her.
"This way," she whispers, beckoning him with a finger, surely a trick Sophie's taught her, but entirely irresistible nonetheless. The moonlight bounces off her hair, making it shine brilliantly; she's never looked more beautiful to him.
She quickly leads him toward the edge of the water, under one of the boardwalk's three piers. Here, a blanket is spread, another folded on its corner.
"You," she says, turning toward him, voice sultry, "are going to make love to me. Right here, right now."
So he does. And it's hot, and sweet, and sticky, and intimate, and better than ever before. It's different than all the other times. It's everything they've ever wanted, but nothing they've ever asked for. It's perfect.
Afterward, she rolls to face him, placing her hands on either side of his head. "See," she says breathlessly, "I told you it would be fun to go to the boardwalk tonight."
