American Horror Story: Origin
It was stood there waiting for Sally to walk through the door. The Cortez was a buzz, the sounds of laughter and music filled the halls but it stood there waiting, disconnected from the buzz. Sally entered the room, her face alight with the light of her iPhone, a grin plastered across her lipstick stained teeth. Her jacket slinked off of one shoulder, revealing her boney, pale collar bone. She took off her coat one sleeve at a time so her eyes did not have to leave the flashing images and updates filling her Instagram timeline. She went to drop her jacket on her bed when suddenly she was struck, face down onto the bed. She could hear the buzz of an electric drill.
'No! I'm clean! You're not even supposed to god damn be here! HELP ME, OH GOD, SOMEBODY PLEASE!'
'Nobody is coming for you Sally. Nobody can hear your screams' the shadow said from the corner his voice echoed, sounding as if a whisper to your ear and a shout from the other end of a long dark tunnel. 'I'm feeding Sally, I'm feeding off of you'
The Addiction Demon holds Sally's thin brittle body down; her screams were slightly muffled as her face is pushed into the mattress.
'With every soul I take I become more powerful, you have overstayed your welcome her Sally. You are an abomination to the natural order and the order must be restored' said the Shadow. 'I just need to break your spirit, once and for all'
Hours drag by and the torture continue, messages buzz up on Sally's phone intermittently until the battery dies. 'Poor junkie whore, the little girl who couldn't be alone, nobody to help her, nobody to love her, nobody at all'
'Stop. Please. Stop' said Sally like every word that slid out of her mouth was filled with quiet desperation and all-encompassing defeat.
'Keep using her Demon, use her all up' the shadow commanded and the demon continued to thrust and grab at the defenceless spirit. 'Give up Sally-the faster you break the sooner the pain will stop'
'I'm… scared' Sally cried, her eyes filled with water, her eyelashes covered in crust and old mascara 'Where will I go?'
'Nowhere, you will just… go'
She screamed again using up the last of her energy 'I'm scared' the shadow creeped expanding over the wall of the room, flooding along the floor and onto the tear stained bed sheets, like translucent oil darkening everything it touches.
'You should be'
With the last of Sally's cries the shadow danced over her face as her ethereal body began cracking, like a broken china doll, before turning into dust completely. The shadow began vibrating, feeding off of Sally's destroyed soul, the Addiction Demon fell to the floor his head bowed, his body trembling in fear.
'Go back now Belphegor. Father needs you home'
