"Spock, Spock spock! Everything revolves around him now, every moment of the day. I have no time to think, no time to rest. It's always him… AND HIS GOD DAMN EARS!"

"Jim?" McCoy rang the door again, "Jim?"

Jim Kirk sighed heavily. "Pause privet log." Silently he reached over and unlocked the door, "come in Bones." McCoy looked at his friend's quarters, it was neat and tidy… something had to be wrong. "Jim, I'm worried." Kirk sighed and looked to his friend, briefly considering telling the man what was wrong, but he soon thought better of it and decided to play dumb. "Concerned about what Bones?"

"Damn it Jim! You!"

Damn, caught. "What do you mean?"

Bones glared at his friend. "It's that pointy eared bastard isn't it?"

Jim shifted uncomfortably. "No. your imagining things Bones, I'm fine, honest."

"Damn it Jim I'm a doctor not a psychiatrist! But even I can see something is wrong!"

Jim sighed. "Drop it McCoy"

"Fine, but I know something is up, you're not acting right Jim, fool the crew if you want, you can't fool me. I've known you too long." With that bones rushed out of his friends room fuming.

Behind the closed door Jim sighed, "Spock."

McCoy was in no better mood with the Vulcan when he almost ran into him in one of the many halls of the Enterprise. "It's your fault, you know, I know it has to do with you, Spock, tell him. Tell him before he does something stupid." Spock stared at the irate doctor mildly confused.

"What do you mean doctor?" He asked, logical as ever.

"I mean, you pointy eared prick, that every glance you each take only tortures the two of you more! Tell him, tell him you want him. I beg of you. Before we lose our captain." With that Bones dashed away, agitated with the behavior of two supposedly grown men.

In his quarters Spock considered, his logical mind doing its best to process such illogical things.
