A/N: Okay, I know I should be working on my other story. But I just had to write this! Hope you enjoy! :D

Suffocating.

She can't breathe- there's too much weight on her chest, her throat is constricted and as dry as dust. The oxygen isn't reaching her brain by this point.

Burning.

The heat is overwhelming, consuming her to the point that tiny, clear beads of sweat roll off of every inch of her body. The sweat covers her and soaks through her torn, bloodstained clothes. There's not a single drop of moisture on her tongue.

Writhing.

She squirms and shudders as the pain pulses through her tiny body; she twitches and tries to get up and run, fight for what little sanity she has left. But the pain won't stop. The only option she has left is to lie in a pool of her own blood and endure.

Screaming.

She screeches and shouts, begging for mercy, but that vile, cruel woman standing above her just snickers and smirks. Her screaming only intensifies when more curses are sent down at her.

Listening.

Insults and spells are being hurled at her, burning questions pelted at her like stones. Yet she refuses to answer any of them- she may be a "blood traitor", a "disgrace to all wizards", but she will never betray the Order. She will never betray what she believes in. Here it comes again- Crucio! More pain…

Losing.

She's losing herself, losing the battle she never had a chance a winning. And slowly, she enters the only place where she knows she can be safe- her mind.

Falling.

She slips away, retreats, into insanity. There's no pain, no screaming, no suffering; only a blank nothingness. There are no more cries of Crucio, and no more desperate pleas from the receiver.

Alice Longbottom is blind, but she can see; she is deaf, but she can hear; she is mute, but she can speak; she is dead, but she is alive. She's so sick of screaming, so tired of pain… A small smile creeps onto her red, tearstained face, and she does the only thing she knows to do- laugh. She laughs and laughs and laughs, but why? For Alice, laughing is the only way to keep from crying.

Finished! Please let me know what you think- was it good? Was it bad? Did it completely suck? I need to know! So… REVIEW!
