It was in Gran Year 764 when King Azmure lied in his bed, dying.

As the tradition stated, the current wielder of Narga on their deathbed would pass down the tome to the next generation. It was such an unfortunate tragedy he couldn't give his son what ought to be his right, but thankfully he still had his granddaughter for that. He weakly took her hand and placed it on top of the tome.

His sight became dimmer as he watched the light of Narga enveloped her—resonated with her—and the last thing he heard was her scream. Azmure, while dismayed for causing such grief to his precious granddaughter, couldn't help but think she would be fine from now on. After all, she still had her husband and children.

The thought comforted him and he closed his eyes for the last time with a smile.

The royal physicians said the Empress' grief from watching her grandfather passed away shocked her to unconsciousness.

Numb.

The very first thought that crossed Diadora's mind as she fought to regain her consciousness was numbness. Everything felt numb and wrong to her.

When she turned to her left, she saw a pair of twins—a red haired boy and a silver haired girl—and she could only think how it should be only one blue haired boy. On her right was a red haired man with love and concern plainly displayed on his equally red colored eyes. Yet her heart shouted wrong, wrong, WRONG and how it should be another man with blue, blue, BLUE hair with equally blue, blue, BLUE eyes whom gazed down at her with such devotion.

She screwed her eyes shut and bit her lips to stop her whimpers and then turned to her pillow to stop her scream. For the first time in five years Diadora wished this wasn't her life.

Diadora, listen to me! A fate in which I cannot kiss you is a fate that I will not recognize!

A/N: I'm pretty sure you would be able to recognize where I got the last line from. (lol) Anyway I always wanted to write about Diadora's reaction when she regained her memories. I believe after this nothing would ever be the same between her and Alvis anymore. After all, no matter how forgiving Diadora is, I doubt she could completely forgive Alvis. Oh she loves him alright so it won't be complete failing of a marriage, but she probably would grow distant to him.
