A time lady exited her time-space vehicle known as a TARDIS and looked back at the ship. The cloaking device had disguised her TARDIS as a small shed, maybe about World War II era. Romana looked back away from the shed and brushed her long, caramel colored hair behind her ear, the ride had messed up her hair. She really needed to remember to install some stabilizers.
Romana had a brief flashback. The Doctor's fourth regeneration was knelt beneath the TARDIS console. Smoke was pouring out of the six sided control panel and the Doctor, although probably thinking the opposite, was certainly not helping.
"Hand me my sonic screwdriver Romana, will you?"
Romana grabbed the sonic probe from the other side of the console and secretly nudged a small lever. The smoke began to thin and the console let out a large beep of gratitude.
"Did you do something," the Doctor asked poking his head up.
"No Doctor," lied Romana sweetly, "your just that good with the TARDIS."
"Yes," he said staring in to space, "I suppose I am."
Romana snapped back to reality. She shouldn't be sentimental about her past, because when she found the Doctor they'd make all knew memories. The last time she saw him he was an old man, but knowing him, he had already regenerated a few times since then. Maybe he was a she now. The thought of a female version of the Doctor made Romana giggle to herself.
"Excuse me," said a short woman breaking Romana from her trance. The woman was about five two or five three, and had a good length of dark hair. "Have you seen a man?"
"I've seen a lot of men," joked Romana.
"No," laughed the woman. Holding her hand tall above her head the woman said, "about yea tall, wears a bow tie. Have you seen him?"
"Can't say I have, sorry," apologized Romana, "what's your name though? I'll find you if I do see him."
"Clara," the woman answered, "Clara Oswald. And you are?"
"Romana," answered Romana holding her hand out for Clara to shake it.
"Thats a lovely name," said Clara before continuing her search.
Romana looked back at her TARDIS, it had brought her here for a reason. Maybe it was attracted to the Huon particles of another TARDIS. Maybe today was the day Romana finally found her friend again.
Clara Oswald stumbled through the wooden doors of the TARDIS. It was bigger on the inside, that still took some getting used to.
"Clara," the Doctor said, "I told you strictly not to wonder off."
"Yes and then you wondered off," Clara argued, "I had to go into someone's back yard to ask if anyone had seen you. I did meet a nice woman though."
"Oh really," said the Doctor completely uninterested, "what was her name?"
"Romana, I believe," said Clara.
The Doctor looked up from the console and got that wondrous look in his eye. It couldn't be. It simply couldn't be. Could it? Was it possible? She could've been off world when the Doctor froze Gallifrey.
"What did she look like," the Doctor asked pacing up to Clara.
"I don't know-"
"This is important," he raised his voice and grabbed both of Clara's shoulders.
"Ummm," Clara thought, "Blonde, hazel eyes, rather cute."
"It couldn't be her," the Doctor thought out loud, "it's impossible. Nothing's really impossible, just highly unlikely."
"Umm, Doctor," Clara asked in confusion.
The Doctor didn't answer Clara, and bolted out of the TARDIS doors.
"Where are you going," Clara called after him.
"To find her," she thought she heard him reply.
