When I first met Mello I really hated him. He was a jerk a pervert and on top of that he ate too much chocolate. He was like a girl that was PMSing all the time. I think we were twelve.

I sat in the corner with a girl beside me. We both focused on our PSP's as Mello walked in.

"Jeevas who the hell is she?" He said pointing his thumb at the girl.

"Th-they call me Arai." she said quietly. She paused her game and set it beside me then stood and held out her hand.

She was rewarded with a slap to her face and I cringed. The girl fell back down looking dumbstruck.

"You're the brat that stole my chocolate bar!" He yelled. He scooped her and went to punch her when a different idea crossed his mind.

"So how are you gonna pay me?" He asked slyly.

"I don't know." the girl whispered.

"Give me a kiss slut." he said with a frown.

"I don't wanna!" She said glaring at him. Her eyes were big and round through besides that she was so small she didn't appear threatening at.

"That's a nice set of legs missy" Mello said darkly glancing down at her short skirt.

"No! Leave me alone!" she shouted kicking her legs.

"Hey dickhead!" A girl shouted from behind him. Mello spun around still holding the Arai by her shirt and Arai whined.

"Hiyoki-chan leave us alone please don't get involved…" Arai said to the girl.

The girl glanced at Mello and followed his hand to where he had it on the girls' inner thigh.

"No. He's taking this to far I won't let him." she growled and took off a flip flop. She ran at him an angry look on her face.

Mello dropped Arai to the ground and she made her way back to me. Just then Hiyoki hopped up and slapped him in the face with the shoe.

Mello stumbled back then punched her in the gut. "Bitch…"

She lunged for her throat just as L walked in and scooped at his collar.

"Please tell me what's going on?" L said.

"That brat stole my chocolate!" Mello yelled pointing to Arai who was curled against my chest sobbing.

"That man ho just tried to sexually attack my best friend!" hiyoki yelled swinging her feet.

"So she slapped me with a freaking flip flop!" Mello yelled.

"Mello you need to not over react when you're chocolate is missing try asking her about it. Arai where is the chocolate?" He said setting Mello and Hiyoki down.

"Rodger told me to take it to Mello and told me if I didn't know who he was to find Matt. so I found matt and we started playing PSP so I forgot." she pulled a chocolate bar out of her pocket.

"Mello what do you say to her?" He asked as he pulled Arai into his lap.

Mello frowned then looked at L. "I'm sorry and thank you." Mello said as he kissed Arai on the forehead and she held out the chocolate bar.

"And Hiyoki?" L looked to her.

"I'm not apologizing to a sexual predator! He could have mentally scarred her for life!" she yelled.

"Very well. Arai there is something I need to talk to you about… In private if at all possible." L said leading the girl off to another room.

"Stupid dickhead…" She walked over to me and took Arai's PSP then left the room.

I stared at Mello for a while.

"What?" he said angrily as he noticed me.

"N-nothing." I said staring back at my PSP. He was a very handsome person… to bad I wasn't gay. "And it's not Jeevas its Matt."

"Okay. Call me Mello" he said and took a bite of the bar.

Part of me wanted that to be my last time meeting him. Another part of me knew we were going to be friends for a long time
