Clary knew this was going to be a disaster even before they had walked in the door of the diner at the corner of 32rd Street.
As they all crammed into one booth, first Magnus then Alec, and Simon on one side then Jace, Clary and Isabelle on the other.
After a few seconds of Alec shifting, squashed between his friend and his boyfriend, Magnus snapped.
"Are you cramped?" He asked. Simon sensed something highly embarrassing coming on and leaned as far off his seat as he could, covering his face.
Alec glanced up at Magnus, "No...?
"No flirting, no hand jobs, no being Magnus." Isabelle cut in quickly.
Magnus smirked and heaved Alec onto his lap, hooking his chin over his shoulder.
A waiter walked over, dressed in a black dress and white apron.
She wisely ignored Alec's position.
"Hi, I'm Camille-"
"Camille Belcourt!" Magnus screeched.
Alec shifted against Magnus' lap and his eyes opened momentarily but he shut up.
Clary winced, "Ignore them."
"Anyway, I'm Camille and I'll be your waitress. Ig you need anything, say." She winked at Jace.
"We wont be needing anything." Clary gritted out from clenched teeth, putting her arm around Jace.
Camille walked away, her hips swaying.
Isabelle reached over the table and swatted Simon as he turned to look after the waitress.
Clary watched as the waitress leaned over the counter to talk to another waiter. He sighed but walked over to them.
"Hi, I'm Sebastian, what would you lik-"
Clary's arm was almost ripped out of her socket as Jace leaped up onto the table, pulling out his seraph blades and holding them to the poor man's neck.
Isabelle joined her adopted brother and snapped her whip.
"Surrender!" Yelled Isabelle. Alec rolled off Magnus, who readied a ball of energy.
Clary buried her face in her hands.
"Jace. That is not Sebastian. Get off the table."
A man ran out from the counter holding a gun, readying it at the teenagers.
Other patrons screamed and dived for cover.
Ten minutes of screaming, accusations, threats and whip slashing later, Simon squinted up at the door of the diner.
"I can't believe we got checked out... Their waffles were the best."
