"I HATE winter!" Stella loudly proclaimed from inside her den.

Sophie, clearly shocked, stopped in her rapid mid-fly to curiously peek into the crimson coloured den.

Stella shivered as she tried to light another sweet tea light. She turned to Sophie, and frowned.

"It's always the coldest season and always so glum." the water-talent fairy sighed, and rested her head on her hand.

"There are lots of beautiful things winter has in store for us. Snowball fights, beautiful snowflakes, warm double chocolate cookies, with some apple cider tea.

"Mmm". Sophie said, imaging the chocolately goodness.

The tinker-talent fairy, looked back at Stella. She was still frowning.

"All animals get to hibernate. I wish i did too." Stella said grumpily.

Sophie put her hands on her hips, and smiled.

"Let me show you!" she shouted, grabbed Stella's hand, and raced out of there. She was one of the fastest fairies in talent!

She did a spin in the air, and, by accident hit a tree with her hand, and a huge pile of snow fell on Stella's brown, curly hair. She humped grumpily, and started to slowly flutter back to her den, without shaking any of the snow off her blue swirly boots, and white long dress.

Sophie laughed. "Sorry Stella, please come with me!"

Stella turned back. She still looked grumpy, but with a small smile on her face.

Sophie grabbed her hand, and showed, her all the cool things.

First, they flew to the Snowy Lullaby Game at the Snowcap Glade. Stella shivered again, and Sophie couldn't feel but shivering too. "It's okay," She gave an confident nod, "It's warm inside".

Stella nodded, and they both flew inside. Sophie told the truth, it was very warm, and log was stuffed with multi-coloured leaves, that stopped the freezing wind from getting in.

A squirrel crept inside, slowly, as it was very sleepy, and settled in a bowl covered with orange cloth. Stella looked excited, so I let her go first.

She played the tune perfectly, and the animal went to sleep very quickly. Then she handed the wooden flute to me, and I played, with a few mistakes.

"Oops", I giggled.

"Let's go," Stella whispered.

So then we flew to the gigantic pine tree, and started to play the Snowflake Sweep Game. It was really windy, so it was hard to get the snowflakes in the sacks, but it was really fun to play, and watch them fall.

And, at last, we went to Chilly falls, and broke off some icicles, and played with them as swords,

Which Stella was really good at, and they melted in their hands.

Then we finally stopped at Dulcie's kitchen.

We shook all the snow off their wings, and entered.

Then we sat at a table near the window, and watched as snowflakes slowly fell down.

"Two honey maple cookies please, and two apple cider tea's." Sophie asked Dulcie.

Stella sniffed and wiped her nose.

Sophie was afraid that Stella would be mad, but she turned around and gave her a jolly smile.

"That was fun, even if I do have a cold now. Winter is awesome!" She sang.

They both ate their honey maple cookies, stayed inside the cozy kitchen, and laughed.

The End.
