Chloe was worried. It was late and Beca wasn't back at the Bellas house. She usually came home at midnight after DJing but she wasn't back yet. Panic began to overwhelm Chloe, thoughts widely ran through her head. What if Beca was kidnapped? What if she was hurt? What if she was dying?Chloe knew she was being dramatic but she couldn't help it. She needed Beca to come home.

Chloe heard the front door quietly opening, she leapt up and rushed into the hallway.

A gasp escaped Chloe's lips and tears started to blur her vision.

"Becs..." Chloe's voice cracked.

Blood streamed from Beca's head, cuts and bruises covered her face. She was frighteningly pale. Beca slumped forward, falling to the floor.

Two days later

Chloe's hand gripped Beca's tightly. She looked down at the tiny brunette, fear once again overwhelming her.

"Please wake up, Beca. I'm scared, you're not awake but you should be. You should be at home with me not here, lying in a hospital. You shouldn't have walked home, you should have called me to pick you up. If you had done that then you wouldn't have gotten hurt. Those men wouldn't have jumped you in the street. You wouldn't have got beaten so badly you ended up collapsing in front of me. Please just wake up. Please Beca."

Tears streamed down Chloe's face.

"I love you Beca. But if you don't wake up I won't ever have the chance to tell you. I need you to wake up because if you don't I won't ever be able to face the music. I couldn't carry on with the Bellas if you aren't there. I stayed these extra years to be close to you, so you can't leave. I won't let you."

A long flat beeping filled the silence and Chloe broke down, nurses and doctors pushing her out the way as she kept her eyes on Beca.
