Harry sighed. He rubbed his hand over his forehead, squinting as the brilliant sun shot directly into his eyes. Aunt Petunia had sent him out to weed the garden even though it was blindingly hot outside.

He ripped out another piece of grass, a small spray of dirt hitting his face. Harry rubbed it away when he heard a tiny meow.

He turned his head to one side and saw something strange. It was a kitten. It had light brown fur with tan splotches over its back, like paint splatters. It looked up at him with blue eyes that shimmered in the light.

"Hello?" Harry asked, confused. "Who are you?"

The cat meowed at him, walking closer.

"Do you want to come with me?" The cat meowed again and sprang into his open arms.

But this was only the first of many pets the nine-year-old Harry Potter would collect.

Magical Menagerie Challenge

So, I've seen a lot of stories where Harry gets this amazing pet/familiar. Normally, Harry and the pet can talk telepathically or in Parseltongue and they have a grand whale of a good time. But my question is why stop with one?

So here's my challenge!

REQUIREMENTS:

Harry must have one pet before he learns of magic. This pet can be any species but it cannot be magical.

Harry must get another pet in Diagon Alley.

Harry must find a pet in the Forbidden Forest.

Harry has to keep his other pets a secret from the teachers, as he can only have one at school.

One of Harry's pets has to magical in some way. (i.e.: Post owls have some magic, kneazles have magic, etc.)

Harry uses his pets to defeat Lord Voldemort when they meet.

Harry must have some way to keep his pets, like Newt Scamander's trunk, though it doesn't have to be like that. It could be as much as a reserve/house/land where he keeps some of them.

Harry must have a pet that is significantly larger than him or very dangerous.

His animagus form must be either one of his animals or very similar. (i.e.: if Harry has a cat his form is feline)

OPTIONAL:

Harry could steal Norberta from Hagrid and raise her as his own.

Harry could learn how to talk to some of his creatures.

Harry could find a black market for dangerous animals and rescue them.

Harry could become friends with Charlie and bond over dragons.

Harry could go to a different house because he loves animals so much.

So there you go! I hope some people try and do this challenge; I'd really like to see someone try it!
