Hello, everyone, and welcome to my first ever Valentine's Day special! Well, it is the first Valentine's Day special in the "Longest Road" era, as the first one was in the "Unspeakable" era. And as the name implies, I do not talk about the stories published in the Unspeakable era of my account. Anyways, this story is going to take place between chapters 40 and 41 of the main story (when Valentine's Day was in the in-universe calendar) and will focus on the "Bronze Couple" of the Kanto arc, Brock and Sabrina. What are they going to do without Ash, Misty, Pikachu, or Vaporeon with them? Well, there is only one way to find out! Time for the Longest Road Valentines Day Special!

It was Valentine's Day 1999, and it was a sunny day in Pallet Town. While most of the Ketchum household was asleep, there was one person who was already up and ready to start the day. She was Sabrina D'Avalon, who along with Misty Waterflower and Brock Harrison, was staying with their friend Ash Ketchum as they waited for their boat to Cinnabar Island to depart. She was up earlier than everybody else because she wanted to do something special for a particular member of her traveling group.

"Brock has made us breakfast for the group every day of our journey down the longest road," Sabrina thought to herself, "So it would be nice for someone to put in the hard work and make HIM breakfast for once." She gathered some food out of the refrigerator and turned on the oven so that she could make breakfast. However, when she tried to cook the food, she ended up creating a huge mess, and she burnt the food, causing everyone else in the house to wake up.

"What on earth is that smell?!" Ash said as he arrived in the kitchen with Pikachu on his shoulder. He looked through the kitchen to find Sabrina.

"Morning, Ash," she said as Misty, Vaporeon, Togepi and Delia entered the kitchen.

"What on earth did you do?!" Delia shouted once she saw the mess that her guest made.

"Uh," Sabrina said, not sure how to answer the question. That was when Brock came into the room.

"Good morning," he said to everyone, "And…" However, when he saw the mess, Sabrina had made he just looked at the Psychic from Saffron City.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Brock!" she said to the squinty-eyed man.

"You did this for me?" Brock asked her, and the former Saffron Gym Leader nodded.

"Well, you didn't have to do this you know," the Pewter resident said to Sabrina.

"Brock is right," Delia said to her guest, "Now, we are going to leave this place to get breakfast elsewhere, but you are staying here. When we return, I expect this place SPOTLESS!"

Later on in the evening, Brock and Sabrina were walking down the road to Viridian City for a night out on their own. Delia was at Prof. Oak's that night, while Ash, Misty, Pikachu, and Vaporeon were left on their own for the night to do what only Arceus knows.

"So," Brock asked, "What do you want to do once we get to Viridian City?"

"I don't know," Sabrina said to him, "What do you want to do?"

"How about we get something to eat," the squinty-eyed man said to the psychic, "I am sure you are hungry because you had nothing to eat after that incident."

Sabrina nodded before looking at the cash Delia gave them before they left. "Alright," she said, "Delia gave us a little less than 55 hundred Pokedollars to spend tonight. Is there anything you want to eat within that budget?"

"Well," Brock said, "I heard that this place has a decent place to get ramen, and it is only one thousand Pokedollars for one bowl, so it is enough for us to have one bowl and still have enough for us to do whatever."

"Good idea," Sabrina said, "And since Ash isn't around, we don't have to deal with him complaining that he hates ramen."

"How do you know that he hates ramen?" Brock asked as they headed in that direction.

"I had a vision of him telling that to Misty the day that we leave for Cinnabar," Sabrina told Brock, "Plus, the day before that, his mother is planning to have the instant version for dinner, and threatened that if he doesn't eat it, he wouldn't be able to continue his adventure."

"Wow," Brock said as they arrived at their destination and headed inside. When they got inside, they were greeted by an older man who had black hair and was wearing a white suit.

"Good evening," he said to Brock and Sabrina, "And welcome to Viridian Ramen. How can I help you two tonight?"

"Do you have any tables for two open?" Sabrina asked, "After all, I don't need my psychic powers to tell that this place would be busy tonight."

"Not at the moment," the man in the white suit told Brock and Sabrina, "But if you wait for about an hour, we can get you seated."

"Alright," Brock said.

"Good," the man in the suit said to the former Pewter Gym Leader, "What are your names?"

"I'm Brock," Brock said.

"And I am Sabrina," Sabrina said.

The man in the white suit dropped the pencil he was using to write down their names on the waiting list and looked at them, "Are you two by any chance THE Brock and THE Sabrina, the gym leaders of Pewter and Saffron Cities?"

"Yes," Sabrina said, "And did you have to emphasize the "the" before our names?"

"Aside from you two, are there any Brocks or Sabrina's you can think of, real or fictional?"

"Uh," Brock said.

"Exactly!" the man in the suit said to Brock.

"You brought up the fact that we are the gym leaders of our respective cities, right?" Sabrina asked.

"Yeah," he said, "And because of that fact, we are going to give you two the next available table!"

"Thank you," Brock said, "But we would rather wait for our seats. After all, just because we are gym leaders of different towns, does it mean that you have to put us before the other people who have to wait longer because you moved us to the front?"

"We just want to respect you," the man in the suit said, "Now come on, the next table should be available for you two shortly."

The two looked at one another, shrugged, and followed the man's directions.

Around an hour later, Brock and Sabrina walked out of the ramen place and back onto the streets of Viridian City with full bellies and 55 hundred Pokedollars still in their pockets. Since the owner was happy that two gym leaders decided to eat at his establishment on Valentines Day, he said that he would cover for their meal. They didn't even have to tip them! Of course, Brock and Sabrina didn't want that much attention given to them, but the employees weren't listening.

"So," Sabrina said, "What do you want to do now?"

"How about if we just walk around and if we find anything interesting to do, we should do it," Brock said.

"Alright," Sabrina said as they walked. After walking for a couple of minutes, they came across the sign in front of a theater. The sign read: "Come and see The Psychic Phil Show! Tonight only! Since it is Valentine's Day, couples coming in get in for half off a piece! Tickets cost a cheap 11 hundred Pokedollars!"

Brock looked at Sabrina and asked if they should go in.

"Sure," she said, "But I highly doubt that he is as good as a psychic as I am." With that, they paid for their tickets and went to sit in their seats. They sat close to the front row so that they could get a good view of the stage, and after waiting for a couple of minutes, the lights dimmed.

"Hello, hello, hello," a voice said as the spotlight came onto the voice's owner to reveal a man with purple hair and golden eyes. He was wearing a heavy white coat, black shoes, and violet socks. "I am Psychic Phil, and welcome to my special Valentine's Day show! Prepare for your mind to be blown and read for the other people, mostly the latter, though."

The audience applauded as he asked for a volunteer for his the first person to read their minds. He looked around for a minute. While many people raised their hands for their minds to be understood, he was not entirely interested in them. Instead, his powers focused on Brock, and so he called him to head up onto the stage. Brock looked around for a moment, excited before Sabrina told him to head on up there. Brock nodded before heading up onto the stage and sitting in a chair that Psychic Phil set up so he could read other's minds.

"Tell me your name," Phil said to Brock. "Wait, you don't have to tell me what your name is. Let me guess. Your name is Brock Harrison, and you are from Pewter City."

Brock nodded and said, "Yes I am. And I am also the gym leader there, but my father relieved me of my duties for the rest of the 1998-9 season so that I can travel the Kanto region with a friend and pursue my dreams of becoming a Pokemon doctor."

"I see," Phil said to Brock before asking him, "I am guessing that one of the friends you have met on your journey is in the audience tonight."

"Right again," Brock said to Psychic Phil, "She is Sabrina, and I met her in Saffron City and opted to stay behind to form a relationship with her without the presence of the only canonical ship of mine out of the way for a while. Well, I doubt anyone would consider my ear and my other friend's hand being a reasonable relationship, but it still is funny, unless you are me," he cringed at the memories of Misty pinching him over and over again because he was flirting.

"Is there anything you can tell me about this "Sabrina" you brought with you to the show tonight?" Phil asked Brock and told him that she is a Psychic just like him. Phil just laughed and said, "She is not as good as me!"

"What did you say?" Sabrina said. Everyone in the theater looked at her as she went up onto the stage to confront Phil.

"That you have had thoughts of turning trainers that you have beaten into dolls?" Phil said before Sabrina slapped him across the face.

"Even though I wasn't as nice in the anime canon compared to the game's canon," Sabrina said, "I would NEVER think of turning trainers into dolls! Hell, even Northstar said that I didn't do this once in this story. Did you read chapter 22 of the main story?!"

"Uh…" Phil said to Sabrina.

"Plus, if you think that you are a better Psychic than me, how about we have a friendly little showdown." Sabrina continued, "Whoever guesses something wrong about us loses. Deal?"

"Deal," Phil said, shaking her hand. "How about if I read your mind first?" Sabrina nodded before he looked at her and said, "I can tell that you have helped two of your friends from freezing to death earlier this year."

"Correct." Sabrina said, "Now, Phil. Let me guess something about you." She spent the next full minute staring at him before saying, "Do you have a Buneary onesie with purple polka dots that you wear to sleep every night after a performance?"

Phil's face went a bright Tomato berry red. "Uh. No?" he said to Sabrina. Little did he realize that he made a HUGE mistake.

"I can tell that you are lying to me, Phil!" she said to the Psychic, "Remember, we Psychics can look deeper into the minds of others than most people think we can."

Phil stared at Sabrina for a second before he ran off of the stage, crying. The people in the audience booed Sabrina as Brock decided it was time to get out of the theater. He grabbed Sabrina's hand and ran her out of the theater.

"Why in the name of Arceus did you do that, Sabrina?" Brock asked as they sat on a hill overlooking Viridian City, "You ruined the career of a Psychic and embarrassed him to the point of tears in front of a lot of people!"

Sabrina let out a sigh before telling Brock that he would go and find Phil and apologize to him soon. She stood up and began to walk back to Viridian City.

"Wait," Brock said, "Before you go, I have meant to tell you something earlier today."

"What is it?" Sabrina asked.

Brock looked up at the night sky for a minute before going up to Sabrina and giving her a big kiss. Sabrina looked surprised before she decided it was best to return the kiss. They spent one little kissing before they unlocked their lips. Brock looked up and said to Sabrina, "I love you."

"I love you too, Brock," Sabrina said. She then sent out her Alakazam and told him to teleport her to wherever Psychic Phil was so that she could go and apologize to him. Brock looked into the sky and was happy that he could show his feelings towards Sabrina.

"I wonder what Ash and Misty are up to?" Brock thought to himself as he waited for Sabrina to come back so that they could head back to Pallet Town together.

And with that, I am done with my first ever Valentine's Day Special Chapter in the "Longest Road" era of my account. I had a lot of fun writing this short part of the story as a special for a holiday, and I hope that you liked it too. I also hope that a combination of this story and the main one which you can find on your profile have made you want to support Mangashipping! With all of the Ash shipping stories published on this Valentine's Day, I thought it would be nice to take the focus off of our favorite trainer and the girl that I pair with him with and focus on his other traveling companions as he goes down the longest road. I will see you all next time, have a happy Valentine's Day, and dare to Mangaship!
