Note From The Author—So this story is very different from my first two NCIS stories. It's not nearly as serious or insightful, more just a little piece of humorous fluff. I was thinking about this the other day, and I hope you all enjoy the homage. I'm sure other authors have done something like this before, but I just can't help myself.

Disclaimer—I don't own the characters of NCIS

When McGee walked off the elevator in the morning he immediately saw Ziva with Tony behind his desk and the alarm bells went off. Usually when they were doing something like that it didn't bode well for him.

With a sigh he came to a stop in front of the desk. "What are you two doing?" he asked.

Tony grinned. "Know what a fanfiction is McGeek?"

He nodded as he walked to his desk. "It's when authors, usually online, take a popular work of fiction, usually a novel, TV show or movie and write their own storylines." He paused for a moment. "Why?"

"Have you ever looked at any of these sights McGee?" Ziva asked.

Tim shook his head. "No, I've never had any reason to. Again I ask; why?"

Tony laughed as he rose from his chair. "This is too good. Put it up on the plasma Ziva."

She willingly obliged, smirking. "Seems Thom E Gemcity's work is a very popular subject in the online communities," she told him.

"This is so crazy," McGee wondered, looking up at the plasma at a screen full of stories about his novel. "Twenty-five pages? That's crazy."

"Oh that's just the romance," Tony told him. "There's over a hundred all together."

He grinned. "People love my stuff that much?"

"The characters anyway," Ziva said. "And some of it is very interesting. Particularly the stories about Agent Tommy and Officer Lisa."

"Should I pull one up Zee-Vah?" Tony asked.

Rolling her eyes, she nodded. "The one we were looking at a moment ago was certainly intriguing."

A moment later a story appeared on the screen and Ziva and Tony watched with increasing amusement as McGee read. His eyes got bigger by the moment and for a second his head tilted to one side before returning upright. "Is that even physically possible?"

"McGee, what exactly are you looking at?" Gibbs barked from behind him. He read for a second. "This from your next book?"

"It's a fanfiction boss. A story from an online community where…"

"Don't care McGee. We've got a case, Marine murdered on leave." He was already at his desk and he tossed the keys. "Gas the truck." He stopped for a moment on his way out to look at the text on the plasma. "Nobody's that flexible."

Gibbs was gone the next moment as the others picked up their bags. The story flashed off the screen as McGee turned his back. "Oh McGee, Gibbs is completely wrong," Ziva said.

"About what?" he asked curiously, frowning slightly.

" Some people are that flexible," she told him with a wicked grin. "Just ask Tony."

McGee's jaw practically dropped to the floor as he watched her walk away, her backpack slung over one shoulder. "Ziva, you don't mean?" He turned to Tony who merely grinned and pulled his hat on. "Tony?"

"Gas the truck Probie, we've got a murder to solve," he said in his best noble leader manner. Turning, he headed towards the elevator.

"You guys are messing with me right? Right?" McGee didn't receive any answer and he sprinted towards the elevator. "Ziva? Tony? Guys!"

Note From The Author—Hope you enjoyed. It's short and quirky but I love it! Hope you do too!
