It's rare to find one without the other. In fact, over the years, it's become so that those within the department can hardly mention one without saying something about the other. It's odd, but it's pretty much become normal. Especially within the unit.

Seven years of being partners has given them a sense of intuition that most partners tend not to have. She can tell when he's ticked off at the world and everyone in it, without him ever saying a word. And he can tell when she wants to be left alone, just by looking at her.

Rumors have been floating around about those two ever since the beginning. As of late, they've become more obvious, especially within their precinct. But instead of getting pissed off and acting annoyed about it, they laugh, because they know the truth. And so do those who work with them.

The opinions of the world outside have never mattered. They do their jobs and they do them well, screw what everyone else has to say about it. Their commendations alone are enough to show the people what they're like, without ever having to meet them. Their work is seamless for the most part, and the department knows it.

That's one of the main reasons no one over them has ever dared split them up…one of the reasons why whenever they're mentioned, it's always Benson and Stabler.

It's one of the reasons why it's always two.

A/N: Damn. I must have taken something to make me as bored as I am right now...meh. Anyways, since you all know or have been informed that SVU is not mine, I shall leave.
