We all knew, and we did noting:

Disclaimer: Don't own, don't sue.

Summary:" We all knew, I mean, it was obvious" A neighbor thinks about what they all know appends in No' 4 privet drive, and how they did nothing. Warnings: Character Death, mention of abuse.

We all knew, I mean, it was obvious, the black eyes, the broken bones, the yelling coming from the house loud and clear, the too small stature, the severely malnourished look, the too big clothes, the sunburns from to long working outside, even when he was young, the obvious lies…

We all knew, it was obvious, Harry Potter, the Dursley family's 'delinquent' nephew, was severely abused.

We all knew, and we did nothing.

We didn't want something to dirty our perfect little neighborhood, so we told ourselves that the boy really was a delinquent, all the injuries must have been from fights, his height must be from one or both of his parents and all of those chores are the only way his good family found to make him busy so he doesn't get into trouble. And with those thoughts we continued in our perfect lives.

Until now.

We all watched as the police took Vernon, Petunia and Dudley Dursley in handcuffs into the police car and drove to the police station, and then we watched has the paramedics took the dead body of the boy we had all wronged into the ambulance to be taken, not to the hospital, but to the morgue.

And then we all felt it, the guilt, because we all knew.

We all knew, and we did nothing.
