So I wrote a list of 20 different fic ideas a few months ago so I wouldn't get caught up in the same old AUs and this is the first of them… Stay with me here ;) also hey there's a wee Castle reference here bc I couldn't figure out how to end it sigh
but yeah so i've decided to keep all the drabbles and ficlets here in one place :) enjoy!
Gail's not quite sure what's going on when she's awoken one morning by Holly's alarm blaring. Not because it hasn't happened before- it has and Gail was quick to show the alarm just how much she hated it- but because it isn't making the incessant beeping noise like it did before. No, this time Holly had changed the setting to a radio station, obviously to protect her alarm from any further damage.
At first, Gail is simply startled because of the talking and she was at least 90% sure she only went to bed with one person last night, one person that seems to be missing she realises after a moment. However it doesn't take long for the station to reveal its name and play a track, a track that Gail was NOT expecting to come out of anything Holly owned. It's this that causes Gail to realise she hasn't snooped around Holly's house yet. They've been dating for just over a month and Gail hasn't felt at all compelled to rummage through drawers or even the DVD collection (she quickly discovered that she actually does have a rather nerdy taste in movies, much to her dismay). That is about to change.
Leaving the radio on, Gail flies out of bed and races down the stairs to where she vaguely remembers the DVD shelves being. She finds them, and then discovers CDs to match the choice in radio station in the bedroom. To hell with her being at work, Gail thinks as she pulls out her phone and dials Holly's number at a speed one might call 'of the lightning propensity'.
It takes just two rings for Holly to answer, with a casual "Hey?" but slightly curious considering it IS 8am on a Saturday and therefore under no circumstances should Gail Peck be awake yet.
Gail wastes no time in asking the pertinent question, "Holly, since when were you into country music?"
There's a beat before Holly laughs and answers, "Oh so many layers to the Stewart onion, however will you peel them all?"
Also I have not forgotten about Cannonball, no matter how much it looks like it okay J
I've just finished school now so I have loads of time to write and these ficlets I'll be writing will be practice to warm myself back up again :')
So remember what I like?
