Clarissa Morgenstern ran in her house, her dress flowing in waves at her feet, the red making her blond hair pale and her green eyes even greener.
"Malala" she sung and peeked around the corner to see her brother and father talking.
Her brother stood still as a cup of fowl black liquid was pressed to his lips and then he fell to the floor and she gasped.
"Daddy?" she asked and watched as her brother Jonathan stood up and walked towards her.
"It's okay, Clair, it's me your brother Jonathan." With a cry she flung herself in those loving arms.
"Am I your friend?"
His laugh was husky and he nodded, "Father is going to get you your breakfast, we thought you were still asleep!"
Walking hand in hand all three of them walked into the giant kitchen and started to eat the cereal in the bowls.
"Clarissa, I need you to drink the juice," the juice was grape and it wasn't her favorite, and her father knew that!
"Daddy, I don't like grape juice!" she whined and usually her father wouldn't make her. But now his cold blue eyes were on her and it frightened her.
"Clair bear I think you should listen to father, then we can go train."
Shakily the seven year old girl brought the cup to her lips and saw her father's eyes on her.
"That's a good girl" he cooed and she grimaced as the drink went down. Instead of sweetness and grape tasting, it was fowl and horrible but it felt regular to her.
"That's the last dose Hun, no more after that, now let's train."
Picking herself off the floor now knowing how she got there Carissa Morgenstern nodded and left the room.
When the girl looked into the mirror she saw blue eyes that looked like her brothers, and father. But it was normal she had no memory of green eyes and no more memory of happiness.
The blood had set in and was moving fast, the blood her father had given her was demon blood and it slowly took humanness away, and mad you sort of into a machine.
