Author's Notes: Hey guys, a new one for me I know but since the third series (I think) is back on I thought I may as well start a story with a very short first chapter. It will turn out to be good I promise!
-Chapter One-
The Doctor stared long and hard after Donna walked away. Should he just go or should he stay for dinner? So what he didn't really stay last year, he was telling the truth about spending it with a friend.
That friend, of course, was none other than Rose Tyler; his companion, and more importantly, his love. When he last spoke to her he'd found out her mother, Jackie Tyler, was pregnant. It took a while for him to understand that, though. He thought she was pregnant! Not that it would be his wink wink nudge nudge.
The Doctor let out a dazed sigh. If only he could see her again. Talk to her. Touch her. Anything was better than smelling her top everyday. There had to be some wayto talk to her again.
'TARDIS, I hope you know what I want. Take me to her if you can. I'm off to sleep and going to dream about seeing her. Even though it's an impossible thing.'
The TARDIS seemed to bleep in response, whilst the Doctor retreated to his room.
Deep, deep down inside the interior of the TARDIS, a thing unknown to anyone from Gallifrey was occurring…
'Rose, do you have to go off into your own world at the table?' Jackie asked her daughter for the millionth time that week.
'Sorry mum. I just wish I could see him again,' Rose sighed a Doctor sigh, and put her fork down on the table. 'I'm not hungry.'
'Rose, he'll come when he finds a way. He can't leave you – you know what he said before. He loves you,' Jackie comforted.
'I know. But he can't mum. There's no way for him to.'
'Rose… just believe.'
Upstairs, after Rose had left the dinner table, the blonde haired girl sat on her bed clutching her stomach in an act to feel his arms around her again.
'Just me, Dad, Mum and the baby,' Rose said to the hologram of the Doctor.
'You're not… are you?'
'No! Mum is,' Rose giggled.
'Wait… I've skipped a… oh dear… MUM!'
'Whoa TARDIS what are you making that sound for?' the Doctor asked, dumfounded. 'It sounds like you're landing but I didn't give a heading I said find Rose but that's impossible! Isn't it?'
The TARDIS clanged outside an average London house, and the Doctor wearily stepped out. He didn't want to get his hopes up on something that could turn out terribly wrong. Boxing Day in London, outside the Tyler household…
'ROSE!' called the Doctor, not expecting an answer, but when a blonde looked out the window and grinned a grin too big to be human and ran out to him wrapping her arms round him, the Doctor knew the TARDIS had served well.
'Doctor!' she called to him smiling deep into his shoulder. 'How did you do it?'
'I asked the TARDIS to find you. I mean come on, it IS Christmas and I haven't seen any mistletoe yet!'
Rose cleared her throat and pointed above them where Jackie's hand could visibly be seen holding a stem of mistletoe above them. Rose smiled and moved her head closer to the Doctor's, their lips mini-meters apart, brushing against each other when Rose spoke;
'I'm pregnant.'
'You what?'
'I'm pregnant.'
'Oh bloody hell,' the Doctor sighed. 'Who's your new man then who's got you knocked up?'
'Doctor… I haven't been with anyone. The baby is…' her voice trailed off.
'Mine?' the Doctor almost laughed. How could it be his?
'Yes, Doctor. Yours.'
The Doctor pressed his lips onto Rose's briefly before swopping her up and spinning her round, chanting, 'I'm gonna be a dad, I'm gonna be a dad!' much to Rose's delight. She wanted him to be father… more importantly, a father to her child.
Did it suck or did it rule? Let me know!
Chao! xx
