Another short story, please review.

Jealousy

I slowly walked through the forest enjoying the nice calm surrounding as I thought about my sister.

She has recently been avoiding me and making up excuses when I catch up to her. She avoids eyes contact and acts like she doesn't know me. I didn't know what was wrong with her and I was starting to get worried.

My thoughts were disturbed when I heard some noise from the other side of the bushes. I decided to check out what it was and looked through the thick leaves of the bush.

On the other side I could see Moonspirit, my sister, crying near the lake. What's wrong with her? I thought to myself. Is she hurt?

I went through the bush and slowly approached her. I padded quietly and when I was near enough said:

"Moonspirit."

She jumped in surprise and tried to wipe her tears with her paw.

"Y…yes Snowtail?" She said without turning her head to face me.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, everythings fine. What gave you the idea that something was wrong?"

"Well.." I started."….I saw you crying and thought you were hurt. Also I noticed you've been avoiding me lately."

I tried to get closer to her but she kept moving away.

"Moonspirit. How am I going to help you if you don't tell me what's wrong?" I pleaded.

"You want to know what's wrong." She growled. I was shocked at her reply and took a few steps back.

"Your whats wrong." She said unsheathing her claws. "I was supposed to be deputy not you! Goldstar made a mouse-brained decision in choosing you as deputy."

She then pounced on me pinning me to the ground. "Everyone keeps on talking about how great you are but how about me." She said with tears dripping from her eyes.

I felt a stream of tears flow through my cheeks. For some reason I felt that I failed her. This is all my fault. I thought to myself.

She then slapped me in the face making me yelp in pain. I could feel her claws rip through my skin as blood spilled out.

"You deserve this." She hissed.

"I'm sorry Moonspirit." I said. I then rolled around the ground placing me on top of her. I kept my paws on her chest to keep her pinned down. She hissed and growled at me.

"Listen Moonspirit, I didn't choose to be deputy. Please understand that I still love you and would never hurt you in anyway."

"Noo!" She shrieked. "You're just like the other."

She then used all her paws to push me away. Luckily I manage to stand up quickly and faced her, ready to fight.

"Don't force me to do this." I warned. But she didn't listen. She charged towards my direction at full force, hate and rage filled her eyes and I knew she was determined to kill me.

Before she could lay a claw on me I manage to swing my paw at her neck. My claws cut through her throat and she soon fell to the ground.

Her body laid on the ground with her eyes open as blood spilled to the ground from her wound.

I padded towards her body with tears in my eyes.

"I'm sorry..." I whispered. "..I should have known."
