Villain of the this Tale

I am the one who ordered the assassination of my brother and his family.
I told the assassin where the three of them will be that night, and for the most part he seceded. He killed my brother and my sister-in-law, and yet somehow my fourteen year old nephew Noctis Caelum lived.
The country started to call him the "miracle prince" shortly after that, the prince who survived against the assassination that killed his parents.
I started to investigate the mystery of his survival shortly after that, and my research landed on a legend of the "Children of Etro" most of them in their teens or younger, but the only thing the these "children" have in a common is they all had a near death experience and for some reason is blessed with the power of Etro.
An old tale really, but as the months went by I started to believe the tale was true. Especially when I saw my nephew using magic one day, it seemed to be by accident really. I doubt Noctis even notice I saw him using the magic spell.
But despite my nephew living it only put a slight glitch in my plan, for I was king now. I gain everything I have come to want in this life.
Although, I will admit I will try to assassinate my nephew again, because even though I am king now. I know it will only be temporary. For the moment my nephew becomes of age I know I would have to pass down the throne to him, because that is what the council decided when Noctis was lying in the hospital bed.
Wounded but alive.
Only a fool would try to assassinate him again especially with security cameras, and guards watching the boys every movie in the hospital.
Besides I already told Noctis and the council that the assassin who killed my brother and sister in-law was found and executed, at least that part was mostly true.
I was the one who killed the assassin after learning he failed, even though I am sure I would have killed him anyway even if he seceded. Because I can't let anybody know I had a hand in killing my brother and his family.
So I will wait until the time is right, and finish the job of killing him myself. Because I have everything I could possibly want right now, I'm not going to allow my brother's kid steal everything I have worked so hard to get.
Because I am the villain of this tale.
