A/N: There are some references to episode 152 so this might not make some sense for those that haven't seen that episode yet.
Complicated
She was his sister. He shouldn't think of her like that, but he did. He found her attractive. Her outfit cute and her smile sweet.
She called him her hero. She called him immature. She called him by his name, Rua. Of course she called him a hero, he did save her. He literally did become a signer to do just that.
He risked his life for her. It was so simple, really. She was his sister. Yet he couldn't shake the feeling that he wanted more and it freaked him out when he thought about it.
Perhaps he wanted to feel loved and worshiped. Perhaps it was the attention he wanted. He rarely got any in the group. Yusei got most of the praise in the group; after all he did save Neo –Domino city from being crushed by stopping Arc Cradle falling out of the sky. Jack had an ego the size of the city and loved to hog the spotlight. Crow was always praising or teasing those taller than him. Unfortunately for Rua he was still marginally shorter than Crow, and Aki had a split attention, but seemed to direct most of it towards Yusei, even though she was friendly enough to everyone that treated her with some respect. Yusei however treated everyone fairly, it was so hard to tell if had any real biased opinions on anyone, but it would probably be Aki after seeing the two of them at the roller ring with Ruka when they joined them after Aki's practising riding a d-wheel. He felt like he was witnessing two people in love at the time.
Well yes Rua was aware of what love was. He was aware that it existed. He was also starting to realise that he was possibly falling in love with his very own twin sister, Ruka.
Yet it was so complicated to say that he loved her and would always protect her, just like a hero is supposed to. He was aware that it would sound awkward.
He knew that Ruka took a liking to a few people that both of them called their friends, yet he was aware that Ruka admired other boys like Sly and Yusei and she liked to talk to them.
Of course that made her happy, but soon they would have to decide if they wanted to leave and live with their parents or if they would stay in Neo-Domino city where they knew for long.
For Ruka that would mean saying goodbye to everyone.
For Rua that would mean trying to stop Ruka crying, and missing everyone too much, of course he would still say goodbye too.
He didn't want anything to be complicated. He would still love her. He didn't have to tell her. He would just show her in his own way. A way that fitting and wouldn't hurt her. A way that would make her smile.
Somehow she would know that he loved her. Somehow as a bond between twins would and somehow she would know that it was simple really. He loved her. He wished only the best for her and also wished for her to be safe, happy and free of anything complicated.
