Take what you need while there's time.
The city will be ours in a short while.
"If I'm not mistaken Nor, it'll be covered in flames and I don't know about you but I'd rather not be a fried Mathias medium rare" Mathias informed in a rush to his friend he still laughed, Norway didn't. who had a blank look on his face and he was smiling. "You and I can escape, there's a lighthouse by the seaside that's been abandoned for years" The blond responded with purple eyes scanning the room for anything they missed while packing and trying to find a survivor. A picture of Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Norway sat at the edge of the side of the bed; the memories of finding them all dead still haunted the Norwegian in his sleep.
There was still no sign of Peter, not like he'd want to find him alive; because he didn't want to tell the 12 year old Sweden and Finland were dead and gone. Norway grabbed the picture and gave his companion a nod and then they headed out the door; the wind blew hard and the fire got bigger; what was left of Finland was ruins caught in flames. Denmark grabbed the blonde's hand and they both ran as fast as they could to try and get out of the city. As soon as they hit beach they looked back at the flames engulfing what little life there was, Denmark grinned yet still knew they were not out of danger.
There is a storm in the distance
The wind bringing warning of its imminence.
There is a light house 500yards down
You and I will be safe there.
"Yah know somethin' funny Nor?" Denmark asked grinning like the fool he was, Norway just grunted still looking impassive, "There's a girl who haunts that light house over there, you know; the one we're going to." This information troubled Norway "Well, why are we heading there for?" He asked in a voice that tried to disguise his worry his hand gripping the others hand a little tighter as they climbed over a few rocks.
She saved me I was swimming
So young I almost drowned under the water
She sang a story
Of losing her lover, she calls a warning.
The wind blew harder and the sea was in a loud rage crashing against the side of the light house, Norway kept quiet about Denmark as he continued to talk about the girl "Mathias I don't think this is a good idea, surely there is another way" Norway couldn't contain his worry, dread filled a pit in his stomach like something was going to happen, something bad. Denmark laughed and turned to his friend "After you saw Iceland dead hanging from a cliff, you still believe there's hope? The city is burning the ocean is churning; our only chance to be together till the end is in the lighthouse. A soft voice could be heard singing to Norway as they made their way to the door of the light house.
Her lover was a sailor she
Climbed up and she waited there
The door locked from the outside
Lover never, arrived.
And she sings that soft as a siren.
Luring the ships off their, course how alarming.
The two men went into the lighthouse after Denmark convinced Norway, the shut with a loud bang and the wind outside howled against the old bricks. They climbed up to look out and saw the waves crashing down.
We went and we, climbed up and looked out
The door locked from the outside
Three ghosts in a light house.
