We were opposites,
Yet that didn't stop us,
You were a lonely street rat,
While I was the daughter of a general,
You hid behind your bravado,
While I sought the spotlight,
You covered up your past with jokes,
While I sought to hide my tears,
You comforted me when my kin died,
While I consoled you when you found your kin to be an enemy,
I have just one thing to say,
In this bright sunny day,
I love you.
