Shinji and Asuka managed to successfully defeat the JSSDF attack on NERV headquarters and crush SEELE vile attempt at Third Impact, however SEELE had other plans-a man known only as Nimrod has returned and is planning to create a new race of super-humans threatening mankind's existence. A new fight has begun and it is a fight for survival against an enemy not seen in epochs.
