This song is called "More than a memory" by Hoobastank. You should listen to it. I do not own Inuyasha or any of the characters.
I'm doing all I can
For you to see
That I understand
Sango walked quickly away from the monk, this was the last straw. She had had enough of his womanizing, all that he seemed to notice were other women. She angrily wiped hot tears out of her face and tried to keep her vision clear as she stalked off away from the love of her life.
So don't close my door
On what still can be
Cause you're so much more than a memory
Miroku massaged his fingers over the freshly applied slap mark. The young girl that was with him had disappeared, obviously scared by Sango's rage. He knew that he had to stop, it was just so hard for him to stop what had been in his blood for all of his life. Sango was the love of his life, but why was it so hard for him to give up his habits?
Sango was perfect. Her smile warmed his day, her strengths made him admire her, and her weaknesses made her even more perfect. Her imperfections were his favorite part about her. Perhaps this time he had taken his habits too far? Miroku followed Sango and tried to get her attention.
Please don't Go
Cause I finally know
That the past is gone
and I was wrong
"Sango. WAIT! I'm sorry, alright." He pleaded with her.
"Miroku, you will never change. Why don't we just call our relationship quits? You obviously don't want to commit."
Miroku grabbed her by the shoulders and looked into her brown eyes that were still wet with tears.
"I know that what I am doing is wrong, Sango. You must understand that I am trying. Everytime I do those things to you I feel horrible."
She choked back a sob. "Then why do you do it? Am I not good enough for you?"
"NO! That isn't it, you are perfect. I want to stop doing this to you. I love you, Sango."
Sango stopped shaking, she looked at him, her expression was unclear.
"W-what?"
"I love you, I want to stop hurting you."
"Then I will have to help you then," she smiled.
They both knew that the times ahead would be rough, but that was alright. Sango playfully tugged on Miroku's sleeves and Miroku laughed. The laugh made Sango shiver.
"I love you too, Miroku."
Cause you're so much more than a memory…
