As Kyo sat in the empty darkness, he face flowed through his mind. He remembered the last promise he ever mad to her.

"Kyo-kun…will we…ever see each other again?"

"Of course we will don't worry…"

Her last goodbye and the dreams of a kiss were the real cure to him. If he changed into a cat or even an ugly orange monster…what does it matter? She didn't care. She accepted him for who he was and loved him. Kyo slammed his fist against the wall and fell to the ground. A single tear dripped from his eye and then he heard a small noise. There it was again, then a voice.

"Kyo-kun?" That voice! He had dreamed of hearing it since the day he was locked away. But it couldn't be. She wasn't here in this empty darkness surrounded by sadness and fear…was she?

"Tohru?!" he whispered. "Tohru! TOHRU!" he called. No reply. It was all an allusion. He slumped in the corner against the bars and held his head. Then a soft, warm hand touched his cheek. Kyo froze.

"Kyo-kun…" came the voice again. He looked up but nothing was there. He felt the hand still pressed against his cheek and reached up to touch it. It was solid, she was there. He just couldn't see her in the darkness. The next thing he felt was a small brush against his lips and the taste of strawberries flooded his mouth. As quickly as she came she was gone. Kyo heard footsteps coming towards him and felt her retreating. She had risked her life to come see him, and make his dream a reality. To keep him hoping. "The day will come when you are freed" he remembered that she had whispered that day. "I'll be forever waiting."
