It was snowing again.

The temperature had dropped to ridiculous levels in just a few days. Being from the South Pole it wasn't that big of a deal necessarily but being inside the temple besides a warm fire and spending time with Tenzin and his family was a lot more enjoyable than trudging around the island making sure all the lemur cages were full of food. I let out a puff of air to make a cloud of steam and shuffled over to the last cage.

My hand were numb, too, which wasn't helping my current mood. I had left my gloves, a present from my mother, sitting on the kitchen table in my rush to get outside and finish my chore.

I unlatched the cage and dumped the fruit into the bottom.

I heard a crunch of snow behind me and turned to see my fire bending team mate. I waved at him and he smiled, "Hey Korra."

I put the bucket down and fisted my hands and then shoved them in my armpits to warm them up, "What brings you here on this cold day, city boy?"

He shrugged, "Just wanted to visit. Everyone inside?"

I nodded and then cocked my head to the side questioningly, "Where's Bolin?"

Mako let out an exasperated sigh, "That idiot thought it would be a good idea to go swimming in the lake so now he's stuck home with a cold."

I looked at the semi-frozen lake and laughed as I pictured the younger teen jumping into the icy water. My laughter was cut off by a sudden sneeze. Mako rolled his eyes as he saw my uncovered hands which had come up so I could sneeze into my elbow.

"Honestly. Do you two think?"

He grabbed my hands and began to warm them up with a little bit of firebending. I looked at him but he was looking intently at my hands and suddenly the warmth wasn't just in my hands. A heat had spread across my face in a blush and I quickly slipped my hands out of his and grabbed the bucket. I shoved him in the chest and stated, "As you very well know I am more than capable of fire bending, Captain. Now I better be oing! Good bye!"

And I ran back towards the temple leaving a very confused Mako behind me.
