Boys Boarding School For Girls
Chapter 1
Stepping down from her carriage Hyuuga Hinata, reaches for her cousin's hand out of habit. As soon as her black uniform shoes hit the cobblestone she feels the chill of her dangerous plan hit her full force. All the courage she had built up during the trip from Kiri to Konoha instantly dwindles away.
"Hinata, boys don't help other boys get out of carriages." Neji reminds her while pushing her hand away.
"Oh! Right. Sorry!" A light blush creeps into Hinata's cheeks as she snaps her hand back to her side. How was she going to last a whole year here?
Stepping into Konoha Boarding School for Boys, dressed in a boy's uniform, hair as short as a boy's, Hinata basically almost dies. If it hadn't been for Neji's reassuring presence, Hinata would have fainted right there, in front of all those male teens trying to find their friends and dorms.
"Hey Hinata, you sure you wanna do this?" whispers Neji.
"…"
Neji looks at his cousin's blank expression and freaks out, "Oh no. I knew this was a bad idea. Why did I let you convince me?! Now we're going to have to go back and dad is gonna kick me out and I'm going to end up living in a box like grandp—"
"Neji!" Hinata takes him by the shoulders and shakes him, "Relax your jaw! Breathe dude, breathe! I should be the one freaking out! But I'm not, so calm down. I'm not backing out, don't worry."
Neji surveys Hinata and after seeing the unusual determination in her face he lets the situation go. Smoothing out his uniform and taking a deep breath- "Ok. I'm good." Neji then stands on his tippytoes looking over the many heads of his new schoolmates, until he spots the information desk and leads Hinata to it.
"Hi, can I help you?" the lady at the desk raises an eyebrow at Neji.
"Sadly, nobody can help him." smiles Hinata.
"Aww, thanks cuz!" Neji grins sarcastically, putting Hinata in a one-armed headlock, and ruffling her hair with the other hand. Then— still holding a struggling Hinata— Neji refers to the receptionist, "Hello, I'm—"
"Stupid." mutters Hinata.
"Nooo," Neji tightening his grip, "I'm Hyuuga Neji, and this little gi— boy, is Hyuuga Hino. Could you tell us where our dorm is and give us our schedules?"
Sweatdropping at the sight before her, the receptionist types something into her computer, "Umm, well Hyuuga Neji, you are in building two, room 241 with Naruto Uzuma—"
"What!? I specifically requested a dorm with Hino!" Neji's hold on Hinata loosens and she worms her way out of it.
"I'm sorry but Hino is already in dorm 230 with Uchiha Sasuke."
"No wa—"
Hinata cuts in, her hair a mess, "Neji, it doesn't matter. I'll still be in the same building, same floor even." Turning her attention to the receptionist, "could you give me my schedule and a map, please?" Truth be told, Hinata didn't want to be in the same dorm as Neji because sometimes he was just a little too overprotective.
The lady hands her some papers and then some to Neji, who was currently spacing out.
"Ehh…Neji?" Hinata waves her hand in front of his face and receiving no response, she turns, picks up her duffle bag, and goes searching for her dorm, "Oh, Neji."
After an hour of walking through hallway after hallway, Hinata finally finds dorm 230, "Alright, here we go." Shifting her bag on her shoulder she unlocks the door.
She sees that it's a rather narrow room, with one window on the far side of the room, displaying a view of the courtyard used for lunch. To the right of the window are bunk beds with a pair of curtains shielding each bed, and to the left of the window, there are two desks lined up against the wall. The bathroom is located on the right, as soon as you enter the room.
Hinata dumps her duffle bag on the floor next to the closest desk and walks into the bathroom. She splashes water onto her face and looks up into the mirror, arms resting on the bathroom counter. I still look a lot like a girl. I hope my roommate doesn't think the same.
Hinata was originally planning to room with Neji because she wouldn't have to hide the fact that she was a girl at a boy's school. But of course that was out of the question. She was just going to have to suck it up and be a man; literally. She was not about to back out, not when she finally had the chance to learn how to be a film director.
It was her dream. Hinata was going to be a famous director; an Oscar winning famous director, even better than Spielberg. But of course the top film school in the country had to be a boys school; and she just had to have been born a girl.
What did you think?
