This part is short, but I promise I'll update soon if you all like it.

John McClane seemed to have given up saving the world. Three months after his last escapade, he broke down crying and gave Holly the most complete apology that any man could ever be capable of, regardless of whether it was a blow to his pride or not. Still trying to make repairs, he moved out to California and, biting his tongue, took a desk job at the Los Angeles PD. The gap seemed to be healing, and the kids were growing up nicely. It seemed like they were both getting the good, old-fashioned American family life that everyone dreams of.

And then she showed up.

Not the fabled, nameless "other woman," no, but something much more sinister. Something persuasive, something ruthless, something armed. Something young, intelligent, and pissed.

She had things at her disposal that the McClanes were all too familiar with. But she had something else they hadn't messed with before. She had the knowledge that they were together. She had a meticulously crafted disguise that she had been working on since she had first decided to exract a bit of payback from the rogue officer. She was packing a dangerously volcanic, bloodthirsty grudge. And she had a minor legend to her family name.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Especially if she's a Gruber.
