Leah missed her friends back home, she couldn't even call them. Jason, her brother, had witnessed a murder 3 months before, and had given evidence in court. She was so angry at him, it annoyed her how much of a nice person he was, how he only ever wanted to help people, how it got them all into this mess. Leah still loved him though, with all her heart, they had always had a good relationship, one where they could tell eachother anything, even though there was a 6 year age gap between them. She was 17, and he was 23, but they always felt the same age to eachother.
Leah lifted the white rimmed sunglasses from her head and put them on her face, flicked her hair back, and oozed so much confidence as she walked. Heads turned, not for the fact that she was the 'new girl', but for the sheer fact of her beauty. It was her weapon, but also her downfall. People secretly hated her for how beautiful she was, but they just wanted to be her. Her hair was long, naturally blonde, a magnificent colour of blonde that every girl would kill for. As she walked, more heads turned, whispering. She lifted her sunglasses down, just enough to let her eyes show, to let everyone know that she was looking at them too. A blonde cheerleader casually walked up to her, her groupies behind her.
"So, you're the new girl then"
"Uh-huh. What's it to you?" Leah said, trying not to show the fact she was terrified.
"I'm Lacey. Head cheerleader," she said, circling Leah, "If you want to survive in this school, you need to choose the right friends"
Oh, is she trying to recruit me or something? Or is this one of these things where I've been instantly made a social recluse? Shit.
"Ha. So, what are you trying to do then? Scare me just because I'm the new chick? I don't think so, girl. You do not know who I am, you do not know what I can do" Leah said, trying to sound the most confident that she could.
"Ohhhh girl. You better learn to talk to me like I'm you're queen, thats what I am around here!' Lacey shouted, sounding quite bitchy, and saying it right in Leah's face.
"Mmm puh-lease. You don't even have the honour to be called the shit on my shoe, now, if you excuse me, I need to find my classes," Leah said, pushing Lacey to the side, quite firmly, and waving back to them as bitchy as she could.
"You better walk away from me girl, you just remember, this is a small school." Lacey screamed at Leah
As Leah walked away, her hands were shaking. She could hear Lacey bitching to her groupies.
"Who the fuck is that bitch?" she heard one girl say.
Fuck, Leah thought. She's just made an enemy, something she dosen't need.
