A young boy,
He witnesses hell,
Screams and agony,
Fire, smoke, blood and death,
In his neighborhood,
He walks,
He ignores the sound,
His hands on his ears,
His face like a man in dying,
No words come out from his mouth,
Teeth chattering like cornered animal,
Legs went numb from exhaustion,
Then he fell on the ground,
His face and eyes,
Tired and broken,
"You're alive!"
The young man opened his eyes,
He saw his smile,
That smile of being saved from desperation and broken,
That is what the young man wants now.
