Tales of Symphonia 2: Dawn of the New World

Summary: Emil was bored, and his only solution to boredom was a certain Summon Spirit.

A/N: I haven't written one of these in a week! That's scary! I was sick Monday and Tuesday though, but that's my only excuse. I could've really expanded and done a lot more to this, but I've decided to leave it like this. This one wasn't written on paper at all, so I wouldn't be surprised if my wording is screwed up or anything.

Disclaimer: Do I look like I own ToS2? I didn't think so. Should I? You would like that wouldn't you? You know you would, since the series would be filled with beautiful RatatoskXEmil.

Problem Solver

"If he takes the time to argue back, he cares more than you think."

Emil sighed, poking at the grass he was laying on before flopping on his back and staring at pure white sky. His mind was normally nothing but a big white blotch, but today it was whatever he wanted it to be and he wanted something soft to lay on for once, like grass.

No matter the fact that he could control such an odd aspect in Ratatosk's home, he was still beyond bored.

"Ratatosk?"

"What?" The agitated voice of his fellow blonde echoed from not the far. Judging by the voice, he was probably no further than that tree practically right next to him.

"I'm bored."

"…Whatever."

Emil sighed, "Come on Ratatosk, you always know the best remedies to get unbored."

"Unbored? That's not a word."

Emil half-glared at his companion, smacking him playfully on the knee before muttering, "That's not the point…"

"Then what is?"

"I'm. Bored."

Ratatosk shrugged, "So am I. Suffer with me."

Emil blinked before letting out another sigh and crawling over to the Summon Spirit, "Come on Ratatosk… Help me out…"

"Emil…" The Spirit groaned, "If you don't shut up…" The blonde trailed off, leaving Emil to his imagination.

"You'll what?"

"Use your imagination."

Emil groaned, "Why? Just tell me!"

A smirk spread across the red-eyed blonde's face, "Well let's see here… To ease your boredom and quell my irritation, all I would have to do was attack you."

"Attack… me…?"

"Yea. In a way you're not used to. Let's leave it at that."

Emil blinked, pausing to stare at the Spirit, "You're so strange, Ratatosk…"

"Love is not written on paper, for paper can be erased. Nor is it etched on stone, for stone can be broken. But it is inscribed on a heart and there it shall remain forever."

A/N:: Thanks for reading. Hopefully you'll be a good sport and review, whether you liked it or not. If you didn't like it, explain to me why maybe so I can improve? If you did, I'm glad you did. This wasn't to fluffy, unless you got the meaning of Ratatosk's 'attack'. God I love Ratatosk's perverted little sayings in my drabbles. Does anyone else write a perverted Ratatosk, besides me? On another matter, did anyone see Ratatosk's name on the character list? Hoho! I'm so glad his character was finally added. It needed to be. He is, after all, a main freakin' character!
